William E. Sterns, 73, of 615 S. 7th St., was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital Monday where he was taken by the Emergency Unit. He suffered a heart attack while at work at the Goodrich Hotel as a clerk. A native of Mt. Edna, he was a member of the Methodist Church and the IOOF Lodge there.

Survivors include: widow Kristine; brother Ross of Hollywood, California; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Nicoll of Huntington Park, California and Mrs. Cora Piper of Brooks.
