Mrs. Josephine Stimach, 65, died in a local hospital Wednesday morning of burns suffered recently when she attempted to extinguish a fire in a clothes closet at her home, 1624 Fifteenth avenue. She had been a resident of Council Bluffs 26 years and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic church.

She is survived by her husband, John Stimach, Sr.; two children, Stephen J. Potkonjak and Mary Ann Potkonjak of Council Bluffs; four stepchildren, Nicholas Stimach, Mrs. Emil Sulentic, both of Council Bluffs, Stephen J. Stimach of the Marines, John Stimach of the Army and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Other arrangements have not been completed.
