An Act to prevent swine from running at large
in the city of Council Bluffs.

Restrain Swine

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa, That it shall be unlawful from and after the first of March next, for the owner or owners, possessor or possessors of any hogs, shoats, or pigs, to permit such hogs, shoats or pigs to run at large within the corporate limits of the city of Council Bluffs, and any person or persons being the owner or possessor of any swine aforesaid, and permitting them to run at large contrary to this act, shall be liable to a fine of five dollars for such violations of this act, to be collected before the mayor, or any justice of the peace in said city, as an action for debt, with costs of suit, and such fine shall be paid to the person making the complaint.

Sec. 2. This act to take effect from and after its publication in the Council Bluffs Bugle, and Chronotype, without expense to the State.
