Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Tausend, 72, resident of Minden for approximately fifty years were held at the Minden Congregational Church last Thursday afternoon with Reverend Bauman officiating. Interment was in the Minden Cemetery.

Mrs. Tausend, nee Emma Kleiner, was born in Wisconsin in 1867 and lived there until she reached maturity. In 1887 she was married to Edmund Tausend and a few years later the couple moved to Minden. Five children were born to them.

Mrs. Tausend became ill only a few days prior to her death, suffering a paralytic stroke while visiting at the home of Mrs. Anna Leaders of Minden. She passed away at Mrs. Leaders' home on Monday, October 23.
