Zachary Taylor

Zachary Taylor, 75, 606 1/2 South Thirteenth Street, Omaha, a retired decorator and former Council Bluffs resident, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in a local hospital following an illness of two weeks of a general decline.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cutler Chapel with Charles F. Putnam officiating. Burial will be in the Little Sioux, IA , cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born August 8, 1866 in Virginia.

Surviving are four sons: L.R. Taylor of Washington, D.C., R.R. Taylor of Tulsa, OK, D.M. Taylor, Richard P. Taylor of Wichita, Kansas; six daughters: Mrs. D.J. Olson and Miss Dorothy Taylor of Wichita, Mrs. O.A. Vik of Rapid City, SD, Mrs. H. Bergen and Mrs. W. Hough of Denver, CO and Mrs. R.E. Smith of Council Bluffs; a brother, George Taylor of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Flinn and Mrs. Orville Coleman of Omaha; 28 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
