Funeral Mass for Mrs. ELLIE C. TIERNEY, 84, 509 S. 8th Street, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Worship Center with the Rev. James F. Kleffman as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mrs. Tierney died Friday at a Council Bluffs hospital following a short illness. A native of Weller, Mrs. Tierney had resided in Council Bluffs for 54 years. She was the widow of Walter J. Tierney, who died in 1967. Mrs. Tierney was a member of the St. Francis Worship Center and Altar Society.

She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Eileen Helms of Charlotte, N.C. and Mrs. Ann Blackburn and Mrs. Helen Murphy, both of Council Bluffs; sister, Mrs. Lahart, Melrose; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Rosary recitation will be 8 p.m. Monday at the Beem-Belford Funeral Home.
