WILLIAM UNDERWOOD, 78, lifelong resident of Council Bluffs, died Monday at 10 a.m. at his home, 827 Fourth Avenue, after being ill two weeks with heart disease. Mr. Underwood was a charter member of the South Omaha Live Stock Exchange. He worked for James Martin until he retired seven years ago.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. E.H. Benton, Miss Anna Underwood and Mrs. W.A. Lewis of Council Bluffs, and two brothers, H.J. and F.L. Underwood of Council Bluffs.
