Mrs. Matilda L. Wallace

Mrs. Matilda L. Wallace, 88, mother of Capt. Edwin R. Wallace, who commanded Troop A, 113th Cavalry, Iowa National Guard, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at her home at 814 Avenue A. He was last reported at San Francisco, California.

Mrs. Wallace's death was due to advanced age and general decline of her health. Born in London, England, she had been a resident of Council Bluffs for fifty-four years. She was the widow of John Wallace.

Other survivors are three sons, James, Richard and Albert, all of Council Bluffs; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Mowe of Aurora, Illinois, and Mrs. J.V. Hawk of Helena, Mont.; a sister Charlotte Ross of Council Bluffs, and twenty-one grandchildren.

The body is at the Cutler Mortuary.
