Charles E. Wightman

Charles E. Wightman, 45, died Friday afternoon at his home at Downsville, as the result of Bright's Disease from which he had been suffering for the past three years. He was born in Council Bluffs on July 17, 1867and the son of D.E. Wightman, a well known pioneer. His mother died only about three weeks ago.

Survivors are: his father, two sisters and five children. These children, including four daughters and a son are left orphans as their mother is dead. They are: Margaret, Berniece, Jennie and Leonard at home, and Olive Wightman of Kosnkonong, MO.

The funeral will be held from his late residence at Downsville Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Downsville Cemetery. (Section A, Row 11, July 17, 1867-July 5, 1912)
