Hattie Bell Wilcox, 81, of Clear Lake, died there Monday after a seven week illness. Born at Missouri Valley, she was a Council Bluffs resident a number of years before she moved to Clear Lake in 1954. The Wilcox couple operated the former Wilcox Grocery at Pierce and Canning Streets many years. Mrs. Wilcox was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Grey Ladies organization, Rebekah Lodge, Grandmothers Club and the Northern Iowa Golden Wedding Club all of Clear Lake.

Survivors include: husband, Arthur; two sons, Wendell and Wayne, both of Clear Lake; sister, Mrs. W.C. Strang of Council Bluffs; brother Fred Sales of South Sioux City, NE; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
