George C. Wise, 78, retired bridge contractor died Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Ziegler, 210 North Sixth Street, of apoplexy. He was a member of Council Bluffs lodge No. 531, B.P.OE., and of Bluff City Lodge No. 71, A.F. & A.M. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Wise; two sons, W.A. and P.B. Wise of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Zeigler, Mrs. Oscar Harte of Anacortes, Washington and Mrs. John Shipley of Omaha. The body was removed to Woodring Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., Dr. C.C. Bransby of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
