Selma Young, aged 83 years of Boomer Township, died Sunday at noon from old age. She was the widow of Jacob Young, who died in 1884. Mrs. Young leaves two sons and one daughter.

The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence in Boomer Township, Rev. Hoff officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Boomer township.

Mr. and Mrs. Young came to America from Germany in 1844 and moved to Iowa ten years later, where they since resided. They were among the oldest settlers of Pottawattamie County.
