Wm. H. Becker

Becker, Wm. H., the new teacher at the German-English school in Rock Island, died last Friday at the Mercy Hospital in Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa aged 39 years.
He leaves a wife and one daughter, aged 14 years. Burial was in the Davenport City Cemetery on Sunday.

Wm. Beniker

Beniker, Wm., a farmer living in Montpelier twp.,Muscatine Co., Iowa drowned Monday at Buffalo, Scott Co., Iowa opposite Andalusia, Rock Island Co.,Illinois.
He leaves a wife and 2 children and also other relatives at Davenport.

Lorena Bruegman

Bruegman, Lorena, a wagon maker residing at 2029 W. 2nd Street in Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa died yesterday at his home. 
He is survived by a wife and 3 sons.

Yesterday morning, 7 o'clock, while on his way to work, Sewer Inspector Herman A Beyer dropped dead on the N. W. corner of 6th and Main St..
There were but few people near at the time, John Cameron being the only one who saw him fall. Mr. Cameron to quickly jumped out of his wagon and go to his assistance.
It was found that life was extinct. the patrol wagon was summoned and the corner notified. Dr. McCorthey gave it as his opinion that death was almost instantaneous.
The corner directed the body to be taken to the deceased home, 1934 Ripley St., where he viewed it and learned he had been under the treatment from Dr. Matthey.
Cause of death embolism of the arterial circulation by a vensus clot.
Deceased was born in Hanover, Germany and was 48 years and 4 months old. He came to this country when he was about 7 years old.
He enlisted in the war and served in Co. K of the 58th IL Vol Regiment as a private. he belonged to the Knights of Pythias and Northwest Davenport Turner Society.
Survived by a wife, 2 children, his mother, a sister, Mrs.. Lee Grabble and a brother, Albert C. Beyer. Interment at the City Cemetery.
