DALEY, PETER Atchison Globe, July 12, 1881 Peter Daley, a carpenter lately
employed at the Atchison and Nebraska shops, died at 1:00 this morning. Funeral from his residence at the corner
of 5th and Q, South Atchison, at 9 o clock tomorrow morning. DAVIS, DAUGHTER Atchison Globe, May 8, 1888 The nine year old daughter of A.
Davis, a colored man employed at the water works pump house, and residing at No. 432 South Sixth street, died last
night of diphtheria. DEGAN, MARY Atchison Globe, July 30, 1881 Died - In this city at one o clock
this morning, of typhoid malaria, Mary Degan, wife of Owen Degan, aged 36 years,9 months and 29 days. The funeral
will take place tomorrow at 2 o clock p.m. DeGINAC, INEZ Atchison Globe, November 14, 1879 Died - Inez, aged 17 months, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. DeGignac. Funeral at 2 o clock from the family residence, corner Eleventh and Parallel streets. DEANE'S MOTHER Atchison Globe, December 3, 1879 Colonel Deane s mother died at
home in Highland last Sunday, and funeral takes place today. DENNENY, EVA MARIE Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Marie
Denney, 38, sister of Elmer and Lewis Berry of Atchison, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Newcomer chapel in
Kansas city. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Graceland cemetery in Weston. Mrs. Denneny was
killed in an automobile accident in Kansas City. (The Atchison Daily Globe, Friday, July 9, 1954) DONAHUE, MARY Atchison Globe, Sept. 9, 1882 Died - Mary Donahue, oldest daughter
of Hon. Joseph Donahue, aged 6 years and 6 months; at 1 o'clock tomorrow from the family residence eight miles
west of Atchison. DONAHUE, THOMAS Atchison Globe, December 20, 1887 Thomas Donahue died at his residence
near Farmington at 9 o'clock p.m., Saturday December 17. The funeral took place yesterday at 8 o'clock a.m. from
the residence to Effingham burying ground. DOWD, EFFA Atchison Globe, July 27, 1882 Effa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
J. C. Dowd, aged 10 months. Funeral tomorrow afternoon, July 28, at 2 o'clock, from the residence at 604 T street. DUFFY, MARY The Globe, September 3, 1878 Died - At 3:20 this morning, Mary,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Duffy, aged 7 years and 2 months. Funeral from the residence, corner 9th and Parallel,
tomorrow at 2 p.m. DYER, EARL JOSEPH Mildenhall, England, Earl Joseph
Dyer, supply sergeant at the big U. S air base here, was found hanged in his barracks, Sunday morning, the U.S.
Air Force said today. There was no evidence to suggest foul play, officers said. Dyer, who had been stationed in
Britain 11 months, leaves his widow, Betty and five children at (1533 Lott St) Topeka, Kan. He was due to return to the United
States in December after an 18 month tour of duty in Europe. (Atchison Daily Globe, March 3, 1955, submitted by
J. Rice) DYER, JOHN M. John M Dyer, 76, died in a Leavenworth
hospital Saturday afternoon. Cancerous condition in the stomach caused the death. Until about 12 years ago, Mr
Dyer was a residence of Atchison County. Since then, he has been living at Easton. Mr Dyer was born in Jefferson County,
Kentucky. When he was a young man, he moved to Atchison County. About 50 years ago, he married Miss Josephine Hays,
of Iatan. Mr Dyer was a farmer and at times fowllowed the trade of stonemason. He is survived by his wife, by
three sons, Joe, Charles, and John all of Kansas City and by five daughters, Mrs Ralph Havis, Mrs Arch Bonnell,
Mrs Nellie Englert, all of Atchison and Mrs Ernest Lewis and Mrs Ed Reed, both of Meriden, Kas. The body was brought to Atchison
Saturday night and is at the Swain & Douglass undertaking parlors. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery. The
time of the funeral has not been set. (Atchison Daily Globe, July 12, 1925, submitted by J. Rice) DYER, JOSEPHINE Mrs Josephine Hayes Dyer, widow
of John M. Dyer, died at 1:35 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs Ralph Havis, 713 S street,
at the age of 71 years. She was visiting her daughters home, her residence being at 628 South Eleventh Street,
Kansas City, Ks. Mrs Dyer was born in Atchison County and lived here practically her entire life, moving to Kansas
City in the fall of 1917. She was the daughter of Alexander and Mary Ann Hayes, Atchison county pioneers, who settled
near Oak Mills before the Civil War. She attended school in Oak Mills neighborhood and on September 6 1875 was
married to John Dyer at Iatan, Mo. Squire Heath, justice of the peace, performing the ceremony. Mr Dyer died July
11 1925. They were the parents of 12 children, three of whom died in infancy. A son Frank A Dyer was killed in
an automobile accident at Kansas City, November 22, 1924. Surviving are eight children, three sons and five daughters,
as follows, Joseph, Charles and John Dyer, all of Kansas city, Ks. Mrs Ida Lewis and Mrs Hazel Reed, both of Meriden,
Kan.; Mrs Ruth Bonnell and Mrs Gladys Havis, both of Atchison and Mrs Nellie Englert, Kansas City, Mo. Seventeen
grandchildren also survive. The body is at the Swain & Douglass undertaking parlors. Funeral arrangement have
not been perfected. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery, where her husband and children are buried, and the time
of the funeral will not be determined until the weather will permit access to the cemetery. (Atchison Daily Globe,
