JACOBS, ANNIE M.

Atchison Globe, Feb. 3, 1888

Mrs. Annie M. Jacobs, wife of Conrad Jacobs, a partner of M. Gerber, died over the restaurant, No. 320 Commercial street, at 6 o'clock this morning, of puerperal fever. The child survives the mother. Mrs. Jacobs was 27 years of age, and a daughter of M. Gerber. She was born and reared in Atchison, and was married only about a year ago. The funeral will take place from the German Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

JEWETT, ED.

Atchison Globe, October 23, 1887

Ed. Jewett, aged 34 years, a brother of H. N. Jewett, of Howell, Jewett and Co., died at his home from a stroke of paralysis at 5 o'clock yesterday morning. He suffered a sunstroke a year ago last July, from which he lost his eyesight. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, at two o'clock, if Harry Jewett, a brother of the deceased, arrives from Texas.

JOHNSON, JOHN

Atchison Globe, January 3, 1882

John Johnson, a German, who has been in this country only three months, and a nephew of John Verhoeven, the furniture dealer, was found dead in his bed at six o'clock last evening. He has been sick with intermittent fever for two weeks, but was walking about his uncle's house and yard yesterday afternoon. About four o'clock he went to his roon to lie down, and at six o'clock, when his friends went to call him for supper he was dead, with a fan clutched in one hand, and a handkerchief in the other. The cause of death is believed to be heart disease, although he had been poorly for two weeks with malaria. Johnson was about 25 years old, and unmarried. He was buried at 2o'clock this afternoon in the Catholic cemetery.

JONES, LUCY E.

Atchison Globe, July 5, 1887

The funeral of Lucy E. Jones, who died yesterday, will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, from 619 Division street.
