WICHITA -- Thane B. Chase, 67, brother of Plains resident Athol C. Chase, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, in Wichita.

He was a resident of Wichita.

He was a retired accountant for Chase Enterprises Inc.

He served in the United States Navy and retired with the rank of LCDR.

Survivors include two sons, Frank B. Chase, Valley Center, and Thane B. Chase Jr., Glendale, Ariz.; one daughter, Janet Elaine Chase, Wichita; one brother, Athol C. Chase, Plains; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DUGGAN, KAROL SUE (CURMODE)

ANDOVER - Duggan, Karol Sue (Curmode) was born March 8, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to Doris June (Braun) and Arthur Eugene Curmode. She went home to our Lord and Savior after a courageous and inspiring four year battle with cancer on December 25, 2005. She was a loving wife and partner to her husband, Wayne and mother to her children, William, Kara Diane and Joshua. She was an avid quilter and member of the Rose Hill, KS Country Rose Guild. She loved to travel and get quilt fabric from other states to make more quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a long time member of the Andover Community. She is survived by husband, Wayne, two sons and daughters-in-law, William E. and Kristy Duggan of Andover, and Joshua Wayne and Stephanie Duggan of Belle Vista, Arkansas, one daughter and son-in-law, Kara Diane and Nicholas Frank of Andover, and five grandchildren, Grant Michael Duggan, Riley Hudson Frank, Christian and Samia, all of Andover and Benjamin Duggan of Belle Vista, Arkansas. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Faith Baptist Church in Andover with interment at Indianola Cemetery south of Benton. Viewing will be Tuesday from 4pm-8pm, with family present from 6pm-8pm at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name at Victory in the Valley, 917 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67214.

Elsie White, 95, Dodge City, died Monday, March 20, at the Ft. Dodge Kansas Soldiers Home.

Her graveside funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at the Indianola Cemetery in rural Benton with Pastor Robert D. Hanthorn of Central Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. White was born on April 16, 1899 at Burns as the daughter of Charles H. and Emma Silvers Sidener.

In 1973, she married Virgil F. White at El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1993.

The homemaker is survived by son, Charles W. Angleton of Grand Junction, Colo.; step-son, Tom White of El Dorado; daughters, Lois E. Bookman, step-daughter, Bonnie Angleton, both of Grand Junction, Mary Brant of Chanute; brother, Lon Sidener of Yuma, Ariz.; eight grandchidren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services Set for Accident Victims

Funeral services will be conducted Friday and Saturday for three young El Dorado men killed in a one-car wreck at Wichita early Wednesday.

Rites for Jack E. (Butch) Myers, 22, of 628 North Washington, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dietz-Pittman Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Thomas D. Riddle, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns cemetery.

Services for Virgil D. Williams, 23, and Charles K. Williams, 18, both of 924 Orient, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Dietz-Pittman Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Ivan H. Hansen, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns cemetery.

Virgil Williams was born Jan. 11, 1943, at Eureka. He had lived in El Dorado since childhood and was currently employed by the Northeastern Drilling Company. He was a member of the National Guard.

Charles Williams was born at El Dorado May 16, 1947, and had lived here all his life. He was also employed by the Northeastern Drilling Company.

Surviving them are their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo C. Williams, 924 Orient; six sisters, Mrs. Doris Higgins, 1021 North Gordy, Mrs. Lawrence Edwards, Towanda, Mrs. Carol Faulkner, Augusta, Mrs. Dorothy Harder, 924 Orient, Miss Peggy Diane Williams and Miss Sheryl Lynn Williams, also of the home; and three brothers, Vernon Williams, Great Bend, LeRoy Williams, Florence, and Richard S. Williams, of the home.

FRETZ, DANA DOREE BOUCHER

BORN: DECEMBER-1-1957 DIED: NOVEMBER-22-2002


Dana Doree Fretz, 45, Beaumont, Texas, formerly of Augusta, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002.

Her funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 25, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Beaumont.

An additional service will be held at I P.M. Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 at the Augusta First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Dana, loving mother, wife and daughter, was born Dec. 1, 1957, in Wichita, the daughter of Marland R. and Vicky S. Varner Boucher.

She graduated from Augusta High School in the spring of 1975, where she was a home coming queen candidate.

She attended Butler County Community College in El Dorado and dental assistant school in Wichita.

On Sept. 3, 1977, she married Allen Kenneth Fretz Jr., in the Augusta First United Methodist Church, where she had been baptized. Dana was initiated into the P.E.O. Sisterhood on May 3,1983. She was the third generation and 28th family member of the organization.

In November of 1983, Dana and Kenny moved to Beaumont when Mobil Refinery in Augusta was closed. The have one son, Kyle Doran Fretz who attends Westbrook High School. Dana was a very active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, son, and parents are: grandfather, Raymond D. Boucher of Augusta; aunt, Kathy Baker of Plano, Texas; numerous other family members and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Lovey A. Boucher

Lifelong Augusta area resident Lovey Arlene Boucher, 83, died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at the Lakepoint Nursing Center.

Her funeral will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, at First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio.
Rev. Keith Dudeck will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cem..

She was Born Feb. 9, 1918 northwest of Augusta as the daughter of Albert Mansfield and Lillie Martha "Harris" Patterson .Lovey was the 10th of 11 children. Three sisters and seven brothers preceded her in death.

On April 1, 1937, she and Raymond D. Boucher were united in a ceremony at the Sedgwick Co.,
Courthouse in Wichita. He survives.

Mrs. Boucher was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Kathleene Sue Baker of Plano, Texas; two sons,.
Ross Elton Boucher of Leon, and Marland Ray Boucher of Garfield,Ark.; three grandchildren, Dana Fretz
of Beaumont, Texas, Heather Hepburn of Conroe, Texas, Shannon Morgan of Lewisville, Texas, and
two great-grandchildren, Kyle Fretz and Austin Hepburn.

A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church building fund.
