Monday afternoon the spirit of Elbert Osborn Noble passed away in this city. Mr. Noble was 70 years of age, and
came to Baxter about 23 years ago and was Supt. of Public Schools after which he held a similar position in the
Territory for a year or two and returned to Baxter where he has since made his home. Mr. Noble has been in ill
health for many months but not a word of complaint has passed hi slips. He was of the kind that never spoke ill
of anyone and was a christian in every sense of the word. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church yesterday afternoon
and a large cortege followed the remains to the Cemetery. Mrs. Noble the only survivor has the sympathy of the
many friends of the family in this community. |
