McCRACKEN — Brian E. Collette, 33, McCracken, died Friday, Oct. 14, 1994, at Liebenthal as the result of an automobile accident west of Liebenthal.
Mr. Collette was born July 29, 1961, at Concordia. He was employed as a driver and heavy equipment operator for Skillet & Sons, Inc. and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora.

He farmed in the Aurora community until 1970 when he moved to Clyde. He had lived in Concordia since 1976, and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Surviving are his wife, Delvine, of the home; four sons, Alfred and Ronald, both of Aurora; Lorraine, Mentone, Calif., and Leland, Shawnee, Kan; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Thomas, Morrow, Ga., and Mrs. Theresa Pracht, Golden, Colo.; a brother, Albert, Concordia; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Sheridan, Glasco; Mrs. Alice Whitney and Mrs. Luella Noon, both of Concordia; Mrs. Mabel Buress and Mrs. Odella Bee, both of Washington state; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Alfred Metro and Mrs. Curtis Woodworth, both of Concordia; a stepson, Donald Monty, Hope; 45 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

He was born Nov. 4, 1885, at Palmer. He had lived at Aurora since 1904. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Peter's Church.

AURORA — Eugene L. Valcoure, 79, Aurora, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 1991, at his home. Mr. Valcoure was born Dec. 11, 1911, at Aurora and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an Army veteran of World War II, He worked 26 years for Boyd Oil Company, Concordia, and was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Churn, Aurora.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Verleta of the home; two daughters, Maleta Novak of Manhattan and Linda Mills of Aurora; a son, Perry of Aurora; a sister, Elise Funk of San Jose, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Aug. 4, 1994, at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia. Mrs. Valcoure was born Judy Sallman on Nov. 22, 1945, at Concordia
and returned to Concordia in 1991, moving from Aurora. She was a former resident of El Dorado. She was a bookkeeper
for the co-op elevator at Aurora, owned and operated Kansas Backroads at Concordia and was a homemaker. She was
a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" of Concordia; two sons, Charlie and Brian, both of Concordia;
her parents, Clifford and Edith Sallman of Concordia; six sisters, Phyllis Shanks, Marilyn Lowell and Frances Trost,
all of Concordia; Iris Lee of Salina, Alice Goddard of Ames and Ruth Gardner of Topeka; and a granddaughter.

CONCORDIA - Sister Alberta Marie Savoie, 92, Concordia,
died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1994, at St. Mary's Convent, Concordia. Sister Alberta Marie was born Marie Savoie on Aug.
15, 1901, at Lake Linden, Mich. She was received into the Sisters of St. Joseph, Concordia, Aug. 15, 1917, and
made perpetual vows Aug. 15, 1922. She was a teacher for more than 60 years, serving in Kansas, Michigan, Illinois
and Nebraska. She retired from active service in 1982 and moved to St. Mary's Convent in 1988.
Survivors include nieces and nephews including Sisters Mary and Lucienne Savoie of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Concordia.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Motherhouse Chapel, Monsignor Alfred Wasinger officiating. Burial

Dec. 9, 1994, at her home. Mrs. May was born Velda J. Geisler on April 14, 1931, at Downs and was a resident of

She was employed by F&A Food Sales, Concordia, for 17 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Belleville
congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. in 1993; and a grandson.

died Thursday Jan, 12, 2006, Mrs. Stalder was born Lucille Rippe on Sept. 20,1935, in Linn. She drove a bus for
31 1/2 years for the Clay Center School District before retiring.
Survivors Include two daughters, Marie Shobe of Wichita and Peggy Taylor of Arboles, Colo.; two brothers, Dale
Rippe of Linn and Lloyd Rippe of Chapman, Neb.; and six grandchildren.

SANTEE, Calif. — Farrell Racette, 62, El Cajon, died Friday, June 3, 1994, at Standford Court Nursing Home, Santee.
Mr. Racette was born Aug. 22, 1931, at Aurora, Kan., and was a California resident for 40 years. He was a sales representative for plumbing manufacturers and was a Marine veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Renee Kelman of La Jolla and Tamra Morswice of Torrance; his mother, Florence Walchle of Salina, Kan.; two brothers, Ansel of El Cajon and Leland of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Emma Jean Woodruff of Salina, Olene Senner of Milford, Kan., and Lou Ann Stalder of Clay Center, Kan; and a grandchild.

Darrell D. Regnier, 71, Concordia, died July 28,
2010, at Cloud County Health Center.
He was born March 6, 1939, at Aurora, Kan., to Adalor and Opal (Demanett) Regnier. Darrell grew up in the Aurora,
Kan. area and lived there until moving to Concordia in 1965. Darrell was a fun-loving person and was well-known
throughout the area and he never forgot a name. Darrell loved playing bingo and listening to country music. He
also enjoyed playing with his great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two sisters, Dolores Aytes and Charlotte Read (Bill), all of Concordia; several nieces, nephews
and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, several aunts and uncles and former brother-in-law, Robert
Aytes Sr.

CONCORDIA - Opal M. Regnier, 82, Concordia, died
Thursday, March 24, 1994 at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia. Mrs. Regnier was born Opal M. Demanett on May 16, 1911,
in Aurora, where she lived many years with her husband. She moved to Concordia in 1965, where she worked as a housekeeper
for St. Joseph Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Catholic
Daughters, Women of the Moose and Boosters Club, all of Concordia.
Her husband, Adalor, died in 1966.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Aytes and Charlotte Read, both of Concordia; a son, Darrell Regnier of

Feb. 11, 1993, at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia.
He was born July 27, 1925, in Mankato, to Floyd H. and Mary L. (Sweet) May. He married Velda J.
Geisler May 21, 1950, in Concordia. He attended school in Jewell County and was a World War II Army veteran. He
moved to Concordia from Mankato in 1950 and was a retired welder. He was a member of United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Velda, of the home; four sons, John Jr. and David, both of Concordia, Jerry,
Aurora, and Jeff, Salina; three daughters, Kathy Kindel, Aurora, Carol Kindel, Hays, and Angle Radar, Fort Polk,
La.; three sisters, Alice Rice, Beloit, Margaret Ketterer, Concordia, and Mary Sue Elsey, Pacific Junction, Iowa;
and 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and a grandson.

Milton E. Hummell, 79, Concordia, died Saturday,
October 7, 1989, at Mount Joseph Care Home.
He was born May 24, 1910, in Webster County, Nebr., to William and Clara Belle McConnell Hummell.
He graduated from Concordia High School. May 5, 1932, he was married to Carmen M. Charbonneau at Concordia. She
died June 11, 1989. He was employed more than 40 years by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1974. He
worked two years in Washington and eight years in Belleville before returning to Concordia in 1947. In March he
moved to Henderson, Tex., and recently returned to Concordia. He was a member of the Catholic Church, Elks and
Moose Lodges of Concordia, Communication Workers of America and Telephone Pioneers of America.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Ralph, his parents, one sister and one brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Martha) Bisnette of Henderson, Tex., Mrs. John (Carol) Hanrahan of
Topeka; two sons, Dennis and Kenneth, both of Lenexa; two brothers, Neeland of Concordia, Clarence of Phoenix,

Funeral services were held October 10 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, with Rev. Patrick

CONCORDIA - Carmen M. Hummell, 82, Henderson, Texas,
died Sunday, June 11, 1989, at the Henderson Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Hummell was born Carmen M. Charbonneau on Dec. 31, 1906, at Concordia. She moved from Concordia to Henderson
about two months ago. She was a registered nurse and a member of the Catholic church, Altar Society and Women of
the Moose, Concordia.
A son, Ralph, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Milton of the home; two daughters, Martha Bisnette of Henderson and Carol Hanrahan
of Topeka; two sons, Dennis and Kenneth, both of Lenexa; a brother, Paul Charbonneau of Concordia; 20 grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Concordia, the Rev. John Lahey officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Concordia Cemetery.
A rosary will be said 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia. Memorials may be made to
the Cloud County Community College Nursing Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be
