OSAGE COUNTY, KANSAS WEDDING ANNIVERARIES & ENGAGEMENTS ANSTAETT, MR. & MRS. FRED Married 61 Years Mr. and Mrs. Fred Anstaett, living at the corner of Fourth and Holliday streets, observed their 61st wedding anniversary Tuesday, February 6. Owing to Mrs. Anstaett being in poor health the occasion was not celebrated. The Journal Free Press joins friends in extending congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Erickson of Milan to Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Marriage Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson of Milan, parents of William H. Erickson, mayor of the village, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, in their home on Dickson street on Friday. Open house will be for their friends, from 2 to 5 o'clock in the afternoon and again in the evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. John Erickson and Tilda Olsen were married Feb. 16, 1884 in Topeka, Kan., where they resided a short time. Later, they moved to Joliet, Ill., where Mr. Erickson followed his trade of stone mason. In 1895, they settled in Sherrard, Ill., and remained there until 1920 when they purchased their present home in Milan. Mr. Erickson was born Feb. 20, 1859, in Farlan, Sweden and came to America when 19 years old. Mrs. Erickson was born Aug. 31, 1868 in Holmstrand, Norway and came to America when 18 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Erickson are the parents of three sons and three daughters. All expect to be present at the family celebration in the home Sunday, Feb. 18. Sons and daughters are William H. Erickson of Milan, Mrs. Blanch Essex of Canton, Ill., Mrs. Amye Leithner, 1945 Fifteenth street place, Moline; Fred Erickson, 826 Fourteenth and a half street, Rock Island; Miss Mabel at home and Virgil Erickson of Sherrard. There are 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Erickson is a member of Milan chapter No. 326, Order of Eastern Star, and of the W. M. B. society of the Milan Methodist Church. ISAIAH Married 61 Years Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Jones celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Tuesday, September 18, in a quiet way at their home on south Sixth street. Both Mr. and Mrs. Jones are enjoying reasonable good health and their many friends join in extending congratulations and best wishes on this occasion.
