Brack, Naomi June, 68, went to be with her maker August 18, 2006.
Born in Hillsboro, Kan. July 2, 1938 to Rudolph and Agnes Riesen. Moved to Newton, Kan. in the fall of 1941; moved to Gotebo, Okla. with her mother and stepfath er in November of 1950. She was baptized in a church near Gotebo, Okla. Graduated from Gotebo High School in 1956. Returned to Newton and attended Bethel College one year. Moved to Wichita where she met Delmar Brack. They were married Dec. 28, 1957 at the Lorraine Ave. Mennonite Church. To this union, a son, Craig Brack, was born Nov. 13, 1959.
Preceding her death was her father, Rudolph Riesen; mother Agnes Riesen Schmidt; stepfather Walter Schmidt; and former husband Delmar Brack. She is survived by, her sons Craig Brack and his wife Dina, and Jeff Farney; grandson, Matthew; brother, Harold Riesen and wife Shirley; niece, Pamela Waller; grand-niece, Chelsie Waller, all of Wichita; and many friends and relatives.
Visitation from Noon to 5 p.m. Monday; Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006,

Kauffman, Irene Zimmerly, was born May 12, 1933 in Orrville, OH to Clarence J. and Florence Miller Zimmerly. She accepted Christ at the age of nine and joined the Smithville Brethren Church. She graduated from Smithville High School in 1951, attended Goshen College, Goshen, IN and received her BSN degree in 1957. She was married to Ellsworth Kauffman on August 11, 1957 at the Smithville Brethren Church, to this union 5 children were born. She continued her education receiving two Master Degrees from Wichita State University, one in education and the other in nursing. She moved with her family to Kansas in 1968 and taught 12 years at the Wesley School of Nursing. She was a consultant for Butler County Community College. She later taught for 3 years with the Nursing School at St. Joseph Hospital. For 12 years Irene was Director of Health Services at Friendly Acres Retirement Community in Newton. After retiring from Friendly Acres, she did Patient Assessment for 5 years at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 5 children; Judith Ann Kauffman and her sons Sean and Lyle of Albuquerque, NM; Lisa Beth and Chad Kelley and their daughters, Taylor and Brittany of Overland Park; Eric and Melody Kauffman and their children Starla and Conner; Kurt and Diane Kauffman and their children, Chase, Paige and Tyler; and Kathleen Kauffman, all of Wichita. One grandchild preceded her in death.
Public visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Cochran Mortuary.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church, 655 S. Lorraine. Memorials have
been established with Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and The Arc of Sedgwick County.

of Kingman, KS, Viborg, SD and Wichita Public Schools. After retirement she remained active in church and educational

WICHITA - Harold R. Plenert, 85, retried Wichita school psychologist and teacher, died Sunday (Jan. 27, 2008).
Harold was born April 2, 1922, near Hillsboro to Albert and Olga Plenert. They preceded him in death.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel College in 1948 and Master of Arts degree in elementary education
from Colorado State College of Education in 1955. He worked as a teacher, principal and school psychologist for
40 years in public schools in South Dakota and Kansas.
Harold was moved by his Christian faith to a lifetime of service for the welfare of children and advocating for
justice and peace for all.
Survivors include a son, Keith of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a daughter, Connie (Jeff) White of Bel Aire; a sister,
Anne (Kenneth) Carrel of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua (Amber) and Erin White; and great-grandchildren, Tyler
and Courtney Anton and Jackson White.
He also was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Florine (Waltner), and a brother, Eugene Plenert.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church in Wichita.
