Wyman Baxter, 60, was found dead Firday in his room a the Norva Hotel, 401 Kansas.
Dr. J. L. Lattimore, district coroner, who performed an autopsy, said Mr. Baxter had a liver ailment and emphysema, a lung disease.
Mr. Baxter was born June 6, 1905 at Blue Rapid. He was a certified public accountant.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Jaderborg, Oberlin, and Mrs. Roy Young, Wichita.

Clara Black Services Set In Scranton
Scranton.--Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Covenant Church here for Mrs. Clara Evelyn Black, 77, Scranton, who died Friday at an Osage City nursing home.
She was born August 23, 1887 in Osage County and had lived at Scranton the past 25 years.
Survivors include a son, Albert H. Black, Mobile, Ala.; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Williamson, and Mrs. Doris Wilson, both of Scranton, and Mrs. Bernice Kingman, San Mateo, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Floy Wyman, Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Warner, Hoisington; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Overbrook Cemetery. Baker Funeral Home at Overbrook is in charge of arrangements.
Services arrangements are pending at Parker Mortuary for Henry G. Boldt, 58, 708 Madison, who died Monday at a Topeka hospital after suffering a heart attack a few hours earlier. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Fort Leavenworth.
He was born March 22, 1907 at Berlin, Germany. He was employed as a draftsman by McGrath
Engineering Inc. He was a member of Capitol Poast No. 1 of the American Legion.

Mrs. Anna Bell Bowman, 70, 218 E. Norris, was found dead at her home Friday. Dr. J. L. Lattimore, Shawnee County Coroner, said she died Tuesday apparently of a heart condition.
She was born in 1895 in Nashville, Tenn. She had lived in Topeka about 45 years. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Her husband, Campbell Bowman, died n 1944.

William Boyce Dies at Home
Holton.--William M. Boyce, 85, died Friday at his home here.
He was born July 3, 1880 near Hoyt. He lived at Soldier before moving to Holton in 1942. He was a member of the Baptist Church. he was a retired blacksmith.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ada Boyce, at home; two sons, Ernest Boyce, 1322 N. Logan, Topeka, and Harvey Boyce, Independence, Mo.; three daughters, Rose Boyce and Mrs. Marie Winters, both of Holton, and Mrs. Goldie Faunce, Amarillo, Tex.; three brothers, Frank Boyce and Harry Boyce of Valley Falls, and Ora Boyce, Coyle, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Wagner, Coyle, Okla.; and 15 grandchildren.

Former KU Dean, T.D. Carr Dies.
Lawrence.--T. DeWitt Carr, dean of the University of Kansas school of engineering and architecture from 1947 to 1957, died Sunday in Washington, D.C. He was 71.
The retired Navy captain and his wife had recently driven from their home in Scottsdale, Ariz. to visit relatives and friends on the East Coast.
Death apparently was caused by a heart attack.
A brief memorial service will be held in Washington, with cremation and burial in Arlington National Cemetery. Date for the services was not selected.
At K.U. Carr took an active part in university administration and in working with business and industrial leaders of the state.

Dr. Thomas Arthur Case, 79, 1221 Frazier, died Saturday in a Topeka hopsital after along illness.
He was born Jan. 5, 1886, in Barton County. He was retired veterinarian. He moved to Topeka in 1958 from Nickerson. Dr. Case was a graduate of Kansas State College School of Veterinary Medicine.
He was a member of Nickerson Masonic Lodge, AF&AM No. 43.
His wife, Lillian, died in 1950.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Knecht, 1221 Frazier; three sons, Dr. Glenn I. Case, Kawanee, Ill., Dr. R.A. Case, Bartonville, Ill., and Dr. Arthur A. Case, Columbia, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren.

Mr. Fisher was born in 1883 at Perry and spent most of his life in the Perry community. He served in the Army three years and worked in grain elevators in the Perry area before he retired.
He was a charter member of the Perry Christian Church and was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A sister, Mrs. Roscoe Jenkins, Oskaloosa, survives.

Roy Jensen, Sr., 74, 1272 Washburn, died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born Dec. 5, 1890 at Osage City, and had been a Topeka resident since 1916. He was associated with the Seymour Packing Company for 41 years. He was manager of the company's Mankato division and also operated the premium poultry division here, retiring in 1957.
Mr. Jensen was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Jensen, of the home; a son, Roy Jensen, Jr., 1275 Jewell; three daughters, Mrs. James Weir, 1514 Medford, Mrs. Harold Miller, Wichita, and Mrs. H.J. Creager, Afton, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. E.H. Cluff, Lyndon.

Mr. Joy was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, and the Hoyt Grange, all at Hoyt. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Topeka.

Local Woman Dies of Illness
Mrs. Lillian M. Losey, 2037 N. Polk, died Sunday at a local hospital after a short illness. She was 94.
Mrs. Losey was born Feb. 1, 1871, at St. Croix County, Wis., and moved to Topeka in 1925 from Abilene.
She was the widow of William Henry Losey, who died in 1938.
Mrs. Losey was a member of the Central United Brethren Church here.
Survivors include three daughters, Grace Losey,
2037 N. Polk; Mrs. Myra Esther Crippen, Seneca; Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Stirtz, 1327 Polk, and two grandchildren.

Noah F. Marker, 2823 Wisconsin, died Monday in a Topeka nursing home. He was 95.
A Topeka resident the past 25 years, Mr. Marker was born Jan. 27, 1870 in Ozawkie.
A retired Jefferson County farmer, Mr. Marker was a member of Pleasant Valley Grange, Church of the Brethren in Ozawkie, and Masonic Lodge, AF&AM in Oskaloosa.

W. McMillen, 85, Dies Here After Illness
William C. McMillen, 85, 348 Jewell, died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born July 18, 1879 at Chapin, Iowa, and had been a Topeka resident since 1906. He was employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 33 years, retiring in 1938.
Mr. McMillen was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, and the Telephone Pioneers Club of America.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Julia McMillen, of the home; two daughters, Grace McMillen, of the home, and Mrs. Cornelia Snyder, Ames, Iowa; three grandsons; two brothers, Frank W. McMillen, 2020 Clay, and C.C. McMillen, 507 Polk; and a sister, Mrs. Lorin (Eunice) Dodge, 1040 Orleans.

Oskaloosa Blaze Victim, 56, Dies
Oskaloosa.--Roscoe Miller, 56, Oskaloosa, who was severely burned in an accident July 19 at his service station here, died Monday at the University of Kansas Medical Center at Kansas City, Kan.
Miller was pumping gasoline into his car at the station when the fuel ignited and he was engulfed in flames. He suffered burns over 90 per cent of his body. Cause of the fire was undetermined. He was born August 22, 1908, at Valley Falls and spent most of his life in the Oskaloosa community. He had operated the service station about 18 years.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 14, AF&AM, and Royal Arch Masons Chapter No. 9, all at Oskaloosa and Zabud Council No. 4 in Topeka.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Miller, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Ernie Baharoghi, Hagerstown, Md.; a son, Charles Miller, Oskaloosa; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Miller, Granger, Wash.; four brothers, Roy Miller, Anchorage, Alaska, Raymond Miller, Melbourne, Iowa, Raphael Miller, Hogansville, Ga., and Russell Miller, Kennewick, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Dean and Mrs. Roberta Haag, both of Granger, Wash., Mrs. Geneva Ingram, Zillah, Wash., and Mrs. Esther Ferrell, Valley Falls; and four grandchildren.

A.D. Shafer, Silver Lake, Dead at 57
Silver Lake--Albert D. Shafer, 57, was pronounced dead on arrival at Stormont-Vail hospital, Topeka, Sunday night after he suffered an apparent heart attack at his home earlier.
Mr. Shafer was born Feb. 8, 1908, near Silver Lake and had been a resident of this area all his life. He had attended Kansas State University and was active in farming at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Silver Lake Methodist Church, Lake Lodge No. 50, AF&AM and Loyal chapter No. 176 of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian A., of the home; a daughter, Beth Shafer, 2420 W. 22nd, Topeka; his mother, Mrs. May D. Shafter, Silver Lake.

She was born August 16, 1875 at Whiting, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Green. She was educated at Campbell College at Holton, Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia and the University of Kansas. She taught in schools at Whitiing and in government schools at Fort Wrangell, Alaska, in the late 1890's.
Survivors include a son, Frank Symns, Whiting; five daughters, Mrs. Warren Sinning, 1518 Wayne, Louise Symns, Topeka, Mrs. William Sunderland, 1168 Warren, Mrs. Raymond Tripp, Ashland, Ky., and Mrs. Richard Good, Washington, D.C.; and four grandchildren.

She was a member of First Christian Church, VFW Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge, all at Holton.
Survivors include her husband, James Turner, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Cantall, and Mrs. Dee Dock, both of Holton, and Joan Turner, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Ellis, Holton, Mrs. Dayna Ryan, Manhattan; and Mrs. Rilma Wiggins, Buffalo, N.Y.; two brothers, Charles Wilkerson, 1901 Dudley Road, in Topeka, and Robert Wilkerson, South Gate, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
