STEPHENSPORT, BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY , KENTUCKY

Located on KY. 144, adjoining the Louisville & Nashville Railroad.  Stephensport was an early river port, being located at the confluence of Sinking Creek with the Ohio River .  The town was named for Richard Stephens, who was active in land development with Thomas Holt and James Cox in the period 1790 to 1825.  There are two other Stephensport Cemeteries , the Christian Cemetery and Cedar Hill.  The Baptist Church Cemetery was copied by D. Lynn Bolin, Irvington , KY. on 21 Feb. 1970.
