Deed og Mortgage from A.G. Churchill to Reese Bourland

Indenture made this 5th day of April 1835 A. G. Churchill of the county of Calloway and State of Kentucky and Reese Bourland of the county and state aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of ninety-four dollars and 95 cents, in hand paid, for the following property, viz, one Dearborn waggon and the harness for sixty dollars, it being the same Dearborn that Churchill had made and now in his care, also one yoke of red oxen (formerly owned by Pleasant Page), at thirty dollars, also one feather bed and bed clothes at ten dollars, also one cherry bedstead at six dollars, six windsor chairs at eight dollars, also one feather bed at ten dollars with clothes, also one crib of corn containing twenty-five or thirty barrels of corn, also 2 pair of hand irons at $1.50 each, the whole amount of cupboard were at twelve dollars, and small square table at $1.50, also one black cow with a white face at five dollars, one mare and saddle at $1.50, one large dining table at five dollars, one large waiter at one dollar, also the stock of books on hand, also three large ovens and one small kettle, one tea kettle, one spade, one large pot and hooks at five dollars. To have and to hold the above described property unto Reese Bourland. The candition of the above obligation is such that the above bound A. G. Churchill is indebted to the late Solomon H. Armour, deceased, for seventy-eight dollars due on a note for the year 1833, also several other debts. Now if Churchill shall pay Reese Bourland the foregoing sum of money on or before the first day of April next, then Reese Bourland then it will cease, otherwise to remain in full force.
