02 November 1830 - Stephen Rawlings of Hardin County Kentucky, made a deed for the Gift of Personal Property, to Thomas Swan, also of Hardin County, Kentucky, with the agreement that Thomas Swan would "support and maintain the said Stephen Rawlings, as long as he lives or as long as he chooses to live, with Swan."  Witnesses: John Swan, Martha Swan, Addison Shepherd.

Following the deed is the following statement: "I, Samuel Haycraft, Clerk of the Hardin County Court in the State of Kentucky, do certify that on the 17th day of January 1831, the foregoing agreement with Stephen Rawlings & Thomas Swan, was produced to me in my office and was acknowledged by the same Thomas Swan to be his act and deed.  On the same day, the same was proven by the oath of Adkinson Shepherd to the act and deed of Stephen Rawlings. On the 25th, the same was further and fully proven to be the act and deed of the said Stephen Rawlings by the oath of John Swan and that I have truly recorded the same on this 28th day of January in 1831."
