"Tavern Rates"



Following are the tavern rates set for Livingston County, while Lyon County was still a part of it and by which every inn, hotel, or tavern had to abide:

Whiskey, pint 12 cents
Dinner 25 cents
Breakfast 19 cents

Lodging 64 cents per night
Oats 12x/ 24 cents per gallon
Pasture for the night 84 cents
Horse to hay to fodder 12 cents




The first tavern rates as set after Lyon County was established are as follows:



Board for 1 year . $100.00
Board with lodging for 1 year $120.00
Board for 1 month $10.00
Board for 1 month with lodging $12.00


Board for 1 week $2.50
Board and lodging for 1 week $3.00
