CIRCUIT COURT CLERK

Duties

The duties of this state office (six-year term) are to issue subpoenas and summons, to handle suits in circuit court, to record all proceedings of action brought to the circuit court, and to issue drivers' licenses and boat licenses.
The circuit court clerk receives $50.00 per month for serving as librarian and the remainder of the compensation is earned from fees for services performed. If additional help is needed, the circuit clerk must furnish compensation for the additional help.

JAILER

Duties

The county jailer is custodian of the county courthouse and has custody of those imprisoned in the county jail.
His salary is $75.00 per month in addition to a certain set amount for each meal furnished a prisoner.
