Moore and Elizabeth Moore.  Witnesses, I Hocaday and William Fox.  Exec's., William and Charles Kavanaugh, and Peter Woods.  Written Oct. 13, 1795.  Probated Oct. 4, 1796.

KAVANAUGH, William - Will Book E, page 21 - Names wife, Ruth.  Children, Archibald, Charles, Philemon.  Dau's., Susanna Duncan, Ann Briscoe, Polly Oldham, Sally English.  Witnesses, Henry Goodloe, John Harish, John Robertson and Thomas Warren.  Exec's., Son, Charles Kavanaugh and William Goodloe.  Written Mch. 15, 1825.  Probated Nov. 2, 1829.

KAVANAUGH, Philemon - Will Book D, page 548 - Appraisement, May term of Court 1829.

WOOD, James - Will book E, page 213 - Names son, Dudley and other children.  Produced in Court Oct. 1831, and proven on oath of son, Dudley Wood and Notty M. Conn.

WOOD, Patrick and Fanny - Deed Book R, page 240 - Patrick and Fanny Wood, of county of Howard, Missouri, of one part and Michael Baker, of Shelby Co., Ky., of other part, land formally part of 1000 acres that Hart sold to Coopers Woods and others.  Aug. 4, 1826.  State of Missouri and county of Howard.  Deed Book R.  This day, personally appear before me, George Jackson and A. C. Woods, two acting Justices of the peace, for said county, took oath *** and for said Patrick and Fanny, his wife, as to Patrick and Fanny Woods signiature.

WOODS, Adam Jr. - Deed Book X, page 19 - Aug. 16, 1823.  Indenture *** between Adam Woods, Jr. and Polly, his wife, of Madison Co., Ky., of one part and Robert Caldwell of same county and state, of the other part ***land *** for sum of $1875, containing 77 acres.  *** Said 77 acres conveyed to Adam Woods, Jr., by Adam Woods and Anna, his wife, by deed, bearing dte May 5, 1809, and now of Madison Co., Ky. *** The said Adam Woods and Polly, his wife, sole owners, do covenant with said Robert Caldwell ***.

WOODS, Archibald Sr. - Will Book F, page 241 - Dated Mch. 17, 1886.  Names wife, Elizabeth L. Woods.  Children, Archibald, Lucy Caperton, William W., Susannah Goodloe, Anna Miller, Mourning Miller, Mary Collins, deceased.  Exec., Grand-son, Archibald W. WOODS, Adam Sr. - Deed Book G, page 134 - Dated May 6, 1809.  Adam Woods and Anna, his wife, to Patrick Woods, of Madison Co., Ky. ** and natural affection and friendship I bear to said Patrick Woods.

WOODS, Adam - Deed Book - Date Nov. 3, 1803.  From Commissioners, Richard Calloway, Robert Caldwell, appointed in behalf of infant heirs, of Christopher Irvine, deceased, of one part and Adam Woods, other part, land on Tates Creek, in Madison Co.. Ky. *** Witnesses, Josiah Phelps, Martin Hardin, RIchard P. Fox.

WOOD, Willie - Madison Co., Ky.  Written Jan. 12, 1855.  Names wifes. Children, Starling Wood, deceased, Tilitha Wood, Sally Buchanon, Parolee Gordon, Anderson Wood, Green Wood and Schuyler Wood.  Witnesses, Jefferson Williams, C. S. Wilmore.  Exec's., Anderson and Schuyler Wood.  Probated Sept. 29, 1858.

WOODS, Adam Jr. - Deed Book G, page 344 - Adam Woods, Jr. to George Shackelford one acre of land for $11.75 ** between Hart's settlement and preemption, and that of Christopher Irvine.  Witnesses, William Williams, John Woods and Tyree Harris.  Monday, Feb. 5, 1810.

WOODS, Adam - Deed Book N, page 244 - Dated Feb. 4, 1819.  Adam Woods to Samuel Estill, 300 acres entered and patented in Woods' name on Otter Creek.

WOODS, Michael
- Of County of Scott, State of Va.  Sells to Elias Barker, for 300 pounds, land lying on Muddy Creek, joining Lackey land in Madison Co., Ky.  Date, Mch. 27, 1789.

WOODS, Patrick - Deed Book L, page 320 - Dated Sept. 23, 1813.  Patrick Woods, of Madison Co., Ky., being about to move to Territory of Louisianna, appoints Archibald Woods of Madison Co., Ky., his lawful attorney, in conveying lands and ***.  Page 333.  Deed Book L.  Patrick Woods and Frances, his wife, to Daniel Maupin.  *** This land was in dispute as result of Joseph Delaney, Jr., to satisfy Wood, Joseph Delaney, Jr. agreed to pay $95 to Woods to relinguish all claim to land, he had sold to Maupin.  Sept. 21, 1816.

WOODS, James - Deed Book E, page 278 - Dated Mch. 1, 1802.  James Wood and Sally, his wife, of Madison Co., Ky., to David Seery, of same county, 80 acres on Ky. river.

WOODS, Adam - Deed Book F, page 312 - Jan. 28, 1807.  Adam and Anna Woods, deed to Ebenezer Dickey ** land on waters of Tates Creek, part of land Woods purchased from Chiristopher Irvine.

WOODS, MIchael - Deed Book E, page 930 - Madison Co., Ky.  Michael and Hannah Woods, sold land to John Quisenbery, land on Muddy Creek in Madison Co., part of Woods survey of 1000 acres.  Feb. 20, 1783.

WOODS, William - Wm. Woods to Patrick Woods, Mch. 6, 1806.  Personal Property.

WOODS, Michael - Deed Book F, page 18 - Nov. 4, 1805.  Michael and Hannah Woods to McGuire land, part of 1,000 acres preemption.  Same to Tinchner, Mch. 4, 1805.

WOODS, Patrick - Deed Book L, page 298 - Sept. 1, 1816.  Patrick Woods and Fanny, his wife, of Madison Co., Ky. to John Jarman, of same Co., ** being part of Christopher Irvins settlement and pre-emption, and part of land sold by C. Irvine to Adam Woods and by said Adam conveyed by deed to Patrick Woods, as will appear deed May 6, 1809 **.

TEVIS, Robert - Of Madision Co., Ky.  Names wife, Polly.  Eldest dau, Matilda Ann Tribble, dau., Harriot F. Miller, sons, Cyrus C. Tevis, Napoleon O. Tevis, Joseph H. Tevis.  Written Mch. 17, 1823.  Attest, Sam Havin, John Bennett, Thomas Tevis.  Codicil added May 18, 1823.  Witnesses, Samuel, Austin, Daniel Johns, and John Bennett.  Probated, Nov. 3, 1823.  On oaths of John Bennett and Thomas Tevis and Sam Austin.

TEVIS, Nathaniel - Dated Aug. 21, 1798.  Names son, Nathaniel Tevis, Robert Tevis, Jeremiah Tevis.  Dau's., Peggy Tevis, and Susannah Wheeler.  Witnesses, John Sappington, Robert Rebum and Edward Davis.  Exec's., Son, Robert Tevis, and son-in-law, John Wheeler.  Probated, Tuesday Oct. 2, 1798.  On oaths of John Sappington, Robert Rebum and Edward Davis. 

Note - Thomas, John and Phillip Turner came from North Carolina to Madison Co., Ky., where they resided.  John died in Madison Co., Ky., where his will is on record.

TURNER, John - Of Madison County, Ky.  (Copy donated by Mrs. B. F. Buckley, Lexington, Ky., and sent to her by R. M. Turner, of El Paso, Texas)  Will written Jan. 3, 1813.  Names first wife, Rebecca and their 8 children, viz.:  Andrew, Thomas, Edward, John, Cornelius, Amy, Sarah and Charity.  2nd.  wife, Jane, and their children, viz.:  James, Mildred, Philip, Barnett, Jesse, Jonathan, Elinor, Jane, William.  Dau., Catherine Patterson.  Exec's., Brother, Philip Turner, my son, Barnett and James Berry.  Witnesses, Robert Harris, John Harris and Nathan Roberts.  Probated Jan. 3, 1814.
