Republican Compiler (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania) Feb 15, 1826
Kentucky
Another shocking murder has been committed in Kentucky at Harrodsburg. Mr. Wm. Harrison of that place, it is stated in the Frankfort Argus, was shot on the 2d ultimo while sitting in front of Mr. Rire’s tavern. The shot came from the store of Mr. J. Head, but who did it no one pretends to know. Harrison it seems a few days previous had twice discharged a pistol at a Mr. Chinn of that place, the first shot missing and the second but scarcely wounding him. It does not appear however, that Mr. Chinn was the murderer of Harrison as he was not in Mr. Head’s store but in another at the time the foul deed was perpetrated.
