GREENVILLE MAN SHOT IN FRACAS AT MADISONVILLE

 

Paul Sherrod, formerly of Greenville, now employed at a Hopkins County mine, was wounded slightly In a shooting fracas Christmas Day in a Madisonville rooming house. He was admitted to the Hopkins County Hospital for treatment of a flesh wound In the left arm.

Gene Haley. Madisonville, was arrested and charged with shooting and wounding with Intent to kill. It was reported that Haley and Sherrod had an argument early Christmas morning and that Haley followed Sherrod Into the rooming housewhere the shooting occurred. It was later reported that Sherrod would not testify against Haley and claimed the shooting was accidental.
