JOHN MENCER. 72, DIES IN ILLINOIS HOSPITAL
John M. Mencer. 72, Central City, died at 8:15 a. m. Wednesday in the Veterans Hospital at Marion, Ill. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War.
He Is survived by five sons, Ishmael Mencer of Terre Haute, Ind., Charles Mencer of Indianapolis, Anton, James and J. P. Mencer of Central City, r1; one daughter, Mrs. Lola Mae Williams of Princeton; two brothers, Basil and Murray Mencer of Terre Haute; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Pilgrim Holiness Church, the Rev. W. N. Marksberry officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery near Central City.
