RETIRED BAPTIST MINISTER DIES IN NICHOLS HOSPITAL

 

The Rev. Ollie N. Andrews, 82, retired Baptist minister and Spanish American War veteran, died at Nichols General Hospital in Louisville Tuesday, Dec. 25. He was a native of Butler County but had resided in Muhlenberg County most of his life.

The Rev. Andrews was a member of the Richland General Baptist Church, Butler County. He was also a member of the DAV and the American Legion.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Maude Vincent of Cleaton, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Cora Dockery of  Morgantown; one son, Ollle N. Andrews. of Newport, Ark.; one daughter. Mrs. Velers Bratcher, Prenter, W. Va.. nine grand-chllden and several great-grand-children.

The body was removed to the Anderson Funeral Home In Central City where funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. W. E James, pastor of the Central City Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery.
