Thorpe, 76, of Stanton, Ky., formerly of Lima, died at 6:15 p.m. March 29, 1994,
at the Stanton Nursing Center.
He was a native of Powell County, Ky., born to
Sherman and emma Bowman Thorpe. He married Gladys Spears, who survives.
Mr.
Thorpe was retired from the former clark Equipment Co., of Lima. He was a member
of the Full Gospel Tabernacle of lima, the Mountain Parkway Church of God and a
Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include two sons, Floyd of Grayson, Ky and
Dan of Elida, Oh; a daughter Darlene of Stanton; 8 grandchildren and 4
great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mountain
Parkway Church of God. The Rev. Ben Corley will officiate. Burial will be in
Thorpe cemetery on Hatton Creek. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the
