Leche – Cancienne

The following account of the Leche-Cancienne wedding has been sent to us by a friend. The wedding of Mr. Francis R. Leche to Miss Mamie Cancienne was quietly celebrated last Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church by Rev. Father A. M. Barbier After the ceremony the couple drove to the bride’s home where a wedding dinner was enjoyed by the immediate family and a few other relatives. The couple then boarded the Southern Pacific train, at LaFourche Crossing, for New Orleans, where they will make their home. The bride is one of the lovely daughters of Mrs. C. Cancienne.  She is much admired and has many friends here. The groom is an estimable man, who has also many friends.  He is employed by the N. O. N. E. R. R. and he is a son of U. S. Deputy Marshal T. F. Leche, New Orleans.
