Passenger Lists
This is a partial list of the William Garvey that sailed from Liverpool England to New Orleans, La. which landed December 1, 1851.
Many on board were Irish and English
The Jones at the end of the list came from Wexford County Ireland. They were originally Welsh and served Cromwell during the Irish uprising. Apparently at some point they converted to the Catholic Faith and fled to Ireland, where they married Irish women and basically became Irish. This branch followed a son and two daughters and a daughter in law to St. Louis. Missouri where they came in 1849. This group followed in 1851.

District of New Orleans-Port of Orleans
I, James Master or Commander of the Ship Wm. Garvey, do solemnly, sincerely swear, that the within list, signed by me and delivered to the Collector of this District, contains the names of all the Passengers taken on board the said Ship at the Port of Liverpool or at ant time since, and that all matters therein set forth are, according to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. I do further swear that [ was blank ] of said passengers have died on the voyage.
