—Mayor Labbe and Drs. Sillan and Delaureal and A. O. Levert, attended the Lafayette conference Tbarsday.

Mr. Albert Solari bad his hand seriously cut in a cotton gin Thursday evening at the gin of Badou and Pellerin.

Cards announcing the marriage of Dr. D. C. Labbe of St Martinvillie and Miss Vida Martin of Belle Place, are out. The marriage will take place at the residence of the bride's parents on Wednesday, October 30th. The Weekly messenger., October 16, 1897

 

St. Martinville Messenger: At half-past one o'clock Tuesday afternoon Mr. Geo Greig, manager of the St John plantation, was the victim of a painful and serious accident. While superintending the working of the new mill that was being tried, in some way or other he got his foot caught in a cog wheel, which crushed it nearly off. The wound was so serious that amputation of the foot was necessary 12/5/1891 Lafayette Advertiser

 We acknowledge the receipt of an invitation to attend the wedding of Mr. Theobald J. LABBe to Miss Corinne M FLEMING (both of St. Martinsville, which happy event occurred at St. Martin's Church Wednesday evening, April 24th, 1889. The groom is a successful young druggist of St. Martinsville, and the bride is a beautiful young lady, well known and highly esteemed in our social circles. Several persons from this place attended the ceremony. The young couple have our kindest regard and very best wishes for their happiness and prosperity.
