JACKSON, SIMEON TAYLOR state representative of Louisiana was born July 24, 1853, near Floyd, West Carroll Parish, La. He received a thorough education; and graduated from the state military academy of Baton Rouge, La. He is a successful farmer and civil engineer of Louisiana; and has filled various positions of trust and honor. He has been president of the parish board of school directors; and prominently identified with the business and public affairs of West Carroll Parish, La. At the expiration of his present term he will have seen twenty years of continuous service as a member of the general assembly of Louisiana: and during that time has served on many important committees, Since 1888 he has been a representative in the Louisiana state legislature, and is now serving his fifth term of 1904-08; and resides near Pioneer, La.
