ANDROSCOGGIN COUNTY MAINE LAND RECORDS
Augustus R. Gilmore
Whereas, Augustus R. Gilmore, of Bath, in the County of
Sagadahoc and State of Maine, by his mortgage deed, dated on the first day
of October, A.D. 1894, and recorded in Androscoggin County Registry of
Deeds, Book 156, Page 809, also in the Registry of Deeds for Sagadahoc
County, Book 82, Page 320, conveyed to the Granite State Provident
Association, a corporation duly establised under the laws of the state of
New Hampshire and having its principal place of business at Manchester, in
said last named state, a certain parcel of real estate situated in Turner,
at or near Keene's Mills, so called, in the County of Androscoggin
aforesaid, the same being all and the same premises, conveyed to L.H.
Bumpus by William and Betsey Staples, by their Warranty Deed. dated
October 10, A.D. 1866, and recorded in Androscoggin County Registry of
Deeds, Book 46, Page 188.
Also one other parcel of Real Estate
situated in said Town of Turner, consisting of six and one half acres,
more or less, and being all and the same premises conveyed to L.H. Bumpus
by Alvion K. Bickford, by his Deed of Warranty dated March 31, A.D. 1868,
and recorded in said Androscoggin County Registry of Deeds, Book 49, Page
500.
Also one other certain lot or parcel of land, with the
buildings thereon, situated in Bath, in the County of Sagadahoc and said
State of Maine, bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning
on the west side of Franklin street, at the southeast corner of land, now
or formerly belonging to the Jonathan Wormwood estate, thence southerly by
said street four (4) rods and eight (8) links; thence westerly, to land
formerly of William Donnell; thence northerly four (4) rods and fourteen
(14) links to the northwest corner of land formerly owned by Benjamin F.
Emery; thence easterly, by said Wormwood estate to the first mentioned
bound; the same being the same premises conveyed to Alvin K. Gilmore by
David Burt, by his Warranty Deed, dated January 29 A.D. 1886, and recorded
in Sagadahoc Registry of Deeds, Book 69, Page 855.
And whereas on
the twenty-ninth day of January A.D. 1896, the said Granite State
Provident Association duly assigned said mortgage, note, and debt thereby
secured, to the undersigned Livermore Falls Trust & Banking Company, a
corporation legally existing under the laws of the State of Maine and
having its principal place of business at Livermore Falls in the County of
Androscoggin afroresaid, by its assignment bearing date last above named
and recorded in Registry of Deeds for the County of Sagadahoc, Volume 86,
Page 426.
And whereas the conditions of said mortgage have been
broken, now therefore by reason of the breach of the conditions thereof,
we claim a foreclosure of said mortgage.
