SAGADAHOC COUNTY MAINE DEATHS

BODY OF MRS. DEOJAY DISCOVERED IN WINNEGANCE CREEK: The mystery regarding the disappearance of Mrs. Alex Deojay, who was last seen on one of the wharves near her home on Front street early this month, was solved yesterday forenoon when her remains were found in a marsh in Winnegance Creek by Park and Win Morse while out picking up logs.  the woman was lying face down.  Coroner Dallou (?) was notified and viewed the body.  Mr. Deojay, later saw the body and recognized it as that of his late wife. {source: Bath Independent, May 29, 1897} Longley, Nathaniel Nathaniel Longley, city messenger, died Saturday afternoon after a few days illness, at the age of seventy-five years.  He was a city official and for several years was in the employ of William King, the first governor of Maine.  He was a police officer thirty years. He was judged to weigh at the time of his death, between 5 and 600. His excessive corpulence was the cause of his death.
