GEORGE KELLY to GEORGE BLOCKER
The following Deed was recorded the 25th October 1810
State of Maryland, Allegany County. This Deed made the 25th day
of October eighteen hundred and ten between GEORGE KELLY of Butler County State Pennsylvania of the one part and
GEORGE BLOCKER of the state of Maryland Allegany County of the other part - Witness that the said KELLY for and
in consideration of the sum of twelve dollars money of the United States bargains and sells one eighth undivided
part of Lot No seven in the town of Cumberland in Bedford Street. To the said GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs or assigns.
To have and to hold the said undivided piece of land or Lot to the use of him the said GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs
and assigns forever and the said KELLY further covenants and agrees to warrant and defers the said part of Lot
No 7 against all persons claiming the same. In Witness whereof the said KELLY has hereunto set his hand and offers
his seal the (day) and year first above written in the presence of

April 1803.
This Indenture made this 25th day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and three between JACOB BLOCKER of Bedford County, in the State of Pennsylvania of the
one part and SUSANA KELLY widow of JOSEPH KELLY, GEORGE KELLY, THOMAS KELLY, JOSEPH KELLY, MARY WADSWORTH, JOSEPH
WADSWORTH, THOMAS WADSWORTH, MOSES WADSWORTH, JOHN WADSWORTH children of MARY WADSWORTH Heirs of JOSEPH KELLY deceased
of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the aforesaid JACOB BLOCKER for and in consideration
of the sum of Fifty Dollars current money of Maryland taken in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof the said JACOB BLOCKER doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted Bargained
and Sold by these presents doth give Grant Bargain and Sell unto the aforesaid SUSANA KELLY widow of JOSEPH KELLY,
THOMAS KELLY, JOSEPH KELLY, MARY WADSWORTH, JOSEPH WADSWORTH, THOMAS WADSWORTH, MOSES, WADSWORTH, JOHN WADSWORTH,
Heirs aforesaid and assign forever all that Lot or parcel of ground lying and being in Allegany County and State
of Maryland being part of BLOCKER ADDITION to Cumberland fronting on Bedford Street fifty feet and running back
one hundred and sixty feet to an ally Said Lot is known and distinguished on the plot of said addition by Lot No.
7 together with all and Singular the profits Privileges advantages and appurtenances to the said Lot belonging
or in any wise appertaining thereunto and every part and parcel Thereof due all the Estate right title Claim Interest
Profits ___ possession and demand whatsoever of him the said JACOB BLOCKER of in and to the said Lot of Land and
premises with the appurtenances To have and to hold the Said Lot of land and premises with Interest Right Members
and appurtenances unto them the Said SUSANA KELLY widow of JOSEPH KELLY, GEORGE KELLY, THOMAS KELLY, JOSEPH KELLY,
MARY WADSWORTH, JOSEPH WADSWORTH, THOMAS WADSWORTH, MOSES WADSWORTH, JOHN WADSWORTH children of MARY WADSWORTH

bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within named SUSANNA KELLY, GEORGE KELLY, THOMAS KELLY, JOSEPH
KELLY, MARY WADSWORTH, JOSEPH WADSWORTH, THOMAS WADSWORTH, MOSES WADSWORTH, JOHN WADSWORTH children of MARY WADSWORTH
Heirs of JOSEPH KELLY deceased their Heirs assigns forever Also at the same time came MARGARET wife of the aforesaid
JACOB BLOCKER and being by me privately Examined apart and out of Hearing of her said Husband did release and relinquish
her right and claim of dower of in and to the within mentioned Lot of Land and premises and Declared that she did
the same freely of her own free will without being induced thereto through fear or threats or ill usage from her
said husband or Induced thereto through fear of a threat and agreeable to an Act of Assembly in that can make and
provides Acknowledged before HANSON BRISCOE Rec'd the day and year First within written Full satisfaction for the
consideration therein mentioned.

James Kelley to Christopher Kelley
At the request of CHRISTOPHER KELLEY the following Deed was recorded
October 7th 1852.
This Indenture made this fifteenth day of May in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two, between JAMES KELLEY of Allegany County in the state of Maryland
of the one part, and CHRISTOPHER KELLEY of Allegany and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that for
and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, current money, by the said CHRISTOPHER KELLEY to the said
JAMES KELLEY in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which the doth
hereby acknowledge, the said JAMES KELLEY hath bargained and sold, aliened and enfeoffed and by these presents
doth give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said CHRISTOPHER KELLEY
his heirs and assigns, all that tract and parcel of land lying in Allegany County, being all that part of the late
BEAN S. PIGMAN old Town farm known as the "Shellhorn Place" - Also the tract of land called "Rappo"
containing fourteen and three fourth acres - Also part of a tract of land called "Pomona" Beginning for
the said part at the end of the 22d line of the whole tract and running with the twenty third, twenty fourth, twenty
fifth, twenty sixth, twenty seventh, twenty eighths, twenty ninth and to the end of the thirty three perches on
the thirtieth line, and to the end of the twenty eighth line of the original called "Prathers's Addition"
and with the twenty eight, twenty seventh, twenty sixth, twenty fifth, twenty fourth and twenty third lines of
the original called "Prathers's Addition" home to the beginning, containing forty seven and one fourth
of an acre - all of which is particularly described in a deed from THOMAS L. McKAIG to JAMES KELLEY together with
all and singular the buildings, improvements, ways, waters, rights, privileges, advantages and appurtenances thereto
belonging or together with all and singular the buildings, improvement, ways, waters, rights, privileges, advantages
and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining,
and all the estate, right title and interest, trust, property, claim and demand whatsoever, at Law and in equity,
of him the said JAMES KELLEY of, in and to the same. To Have and to Hold the said land, with the appurtenances
thereunto belonging, unto the said CHRISTOPHER KELLEY, his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use of the said
CHRISTOPHER KELLEY, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said CHRISTOPHER KELLY, his heirs and assigns forever.
And the said CHRISTOPHER KELLY, for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and for every of them, doth covenant,
promise and agree to and with the said JAMES KELLEY, his heirs executors and administrators, by these presents
that if he the said CHRISTOPHER KELLEY, party of the second part, does not manage the land aforesaid described
in accordance with the heirs and judgments of the said JAMES KELLEY, then these presents are to be null and void.
In testimony whereof the said JAMES KELLEY has hereunto set his hand and seal on the day and year first above written.

to be the party to the foregoing deed and doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument of writing to be this

JAMES KELLY to JONATHAN HENDRICKSON
At the request of JONATHAN HENDRICKSON the following Deed was recorded
the 5th day of December 1813.
This Indenture made this nineteenth day of November in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen Between JAMES KELLY of Allegany County and State of Maryland
of the one part and JONATHAN HENDRICKSON of Bedford County in the State of Pennsylvania of the other part witnesseth
that the said JAMES KELLY for and in consideration of the sum of seventeen dollars current money of the United
States to him in hand paid by the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON before the sealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof the said JAMES KELLY doth hereby acknowledge and from every part and parcel thereof doth hereby
acquit exonerate and discharge the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON his heirs executors and administrators he the said
JAMES KELLY hath granted, bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain,
sell, alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON, his heirs and assigns all that one fourth part
of Lots Number five and Number six in Brodhogs addition to the Town of Cumberland, Together with all and Singular
the buildings, improvements, woods, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and
appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents,
issues, and profits thereof and all and the estate right, title and interest, whatsoever, of him the said JAMES
KELLY at Law and in equity of in to and of the said one fourth part of the said Lotts and premises hereby bargained
and sold or ment mentioned or intended hereby so to be and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold the
said parts of the lots aforesaid so as aforesaid described together with the buildings and appurtenances and all
and singular other the premises hereby bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intended hereby so to be and every
part and parcel thereof with their every of their appurtenances unto the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON his heirs and
assigns forever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever and the said JAMES KELLY for himself his
heirs Executors and administrators doth hereby covenant, grant, promise and agree to and with the sd JONATHAN HENDRICKSON
his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns that the said JAMES KELLY and his heirs the parts of the said lots
aforesaid and premises hereby granted bargained and sold and every part and Parcel thereof with the appurtenances
thereunto belonging to him the said JONATHAT HENDRICKSON his heirs and assigns against him the said JAMES KELLY
and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever, claiming or to claim any right title
or interest in and to the same or any part thereof under him or them shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents. In Witness whereof the said JAMES KELLY hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal

At the request of P. A. S. PIGMAN the Deed was recorded May 9,
1835.
This Indenture made this sixth day of January in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five between JAMES KELLY of Allegany County and State of Maryland of
the part and PHILIP A. S. PIGMAN of the County and State aforesaid, Witnesseth that the said JAMES KELLY for and
in consideration of the sum of Ninety Dollars current money of the United States to him the said JAMES KELLY in
hand paid by the said PHILIP A. S. PIGMAN at or before the Sealing or delivery of these presents, there___ whereof
the said JAMES KELLY doth thereby acknowledge and thereof __ release acquit and discharge the said PHILIP A. S.
PIGMAN his heirs executors and administrators by these presents to he the said JAMES KELLY have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said PHILIP A. S. PIGMAN his heirs and assigns
all that Lot or portion of Ground in the town of Cumberland distinguished by Lot Number "Forty eight"
Beginning for said Lot, Lot at a stone situated on the north side of Paca Street and at the end of the first line
of Lot No 47. No 48 and running thence with said street North eighty three degrees and one half Degree West one
hundred and one feet to a stone standing in the East side of Walnut Alley North Six & one half degrees East
one hundred and seventy one feet to Lot No 47 then by a straight line to the beginning together with all and singular
the improvements advantages profits and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and
To Hold unto him the said Philip A. S. PIGMAN his heirs and assigns forever And also all the estate right title
use trust property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said JAMES KELLY if in and to the aforesaid Lands and
premises hereby bargained and sold and to every part and parcel thereof to the only purpose use and benefit of
him the said PHILIP A. S. PIGMAN and of his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other use intent or purpose
whatsoever And the said JAMES KELLY for himself and his heirs doth hereby covenant grant promise and agree to and
with the said and with the said PHILIP A. S. PIGMAN his heirs and assigns that he the said JAMES KELLEY and his
heirs the said Tract or parcel thereof with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said PHILIP A. S.
PIGMAN his heirs and assigns against him the said JAMES KELLY and his heirs and against all and every other person
or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend.

therein named, his heirs and assigns forever according to the purpose true intent and meaning of the said Deed
or instrument of writing and the Act of assembly in such case made and provided And the said HANNAH wife of said
JAMES KELLY and sign and Seal the said Instrument of writing before us Justices aforesaid out of the presence and
hearing of her husband and being by we Justices as aforesaid privately examined out of the presence and hearing
of her husband whether she doth execute and acknowledge the same voluntarily and freely and without being ___ to
do so by fear or threats of __ usage by her said husband or fear of his displeasure ___ and acknowledges that she
doth consent and acknowledges the same voluntarily and freely and without being induced to do so by fear or threats
of ___ usage by the said husband or by hear of his displeasure.
We further ___ that the said parties so acknowledge by we are personally

At the request of SYLVESTER RYLAND the following Deed was recorded
15 August 1828.
This Indenture made this fifth day of April in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight Between DAVID KELLY and ROSE his wife of Allegany County and the
state of Maryland of the one part and SYLVESTER RYLAND of the county and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth
that the said DAVID KELLY and ROSE his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty dollars
current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said SYLVESTER RYLAND before the seating and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof the sd DAVID KELLY and ROSE his wife doth hereby acknowledge hath granted
bargain sold alien enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm
unto the said SYLVESTER RYLAND his heirs and assigns all and every part of the one eighth part of the following
tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid that is to say and undivided eighth
part of two lots of fifty acres each of the lands westward of Fort Cumberland and known and distinguished on the
general plott of said lands by No. Three Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Seven and Eighty Eight and also the undivided
eighth part of one hundred and twenty acres adjoining the aforesaid lots purchased from DAVID HOFFMAN SR. the whole
constituting the farm on which SYLVESTER RYLAND late of Allegany County deceased resided together with all and
singular the buildings improvements woods, ways, waters, water courses rights, liberties, privileges hereidtaments
and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders
rents issues and profits thereof and also the estate right title and interest whatsoever of them the said DAVID
KELLY and ROSE his wife both at law and in equity of into and out of the said tracts or parcels of land and premises
bargain and sold ment mentioned or intended hereby so to be and every or any part and parcel thereof To Have and
To Hold the said one eighth part of the said tracts or parcel of land so as aforesaid described together with the
buildings and appurtenances and all and singular other the premises thereby bargained and sold or ment mentioned
or intended thereby so to be and every or any part and parcel thereof with these and every of their appurtenances
unto the sd SYLVESTER RYLAND his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other ___ intent or purpose whatsoever
and the said DAVID KELLY and ROSE his wife for themselves their heirs Executors administrators doth hereby covenant

At the request of Samuel Cisslar Jr. this deed was recorded the
3d November 1831.
This Indenture made the 17th day of September in the year of our
Lord One Thousand eight hundred and Thirty one Between David Kelly and Rosanna Kelly wife of David Kelly of Allegany
County and State of Maryland of the one part and Samuel Cisslar Jr. of the County and State aforesaid of the other
part, witnesseth that the said David Kelly and Rosanna Kelly wife of David Kelly for and in consideration of the
sum of Twelve dollars and fifty cents current money to them in hand paid by the said Samuel Cisslar Jr. before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said David Kelly and Rosanna Kelly wife of David
Kelly doth hereby acknowledge and from every part and parcel thereof doth hereby acquit exonerate and discharge
the Samuel Cisslar Jr. or his heirs executors and administrators the said David Kelly and Rosanna Kelly wife of

and appurtenances whatsoever thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining the reversions and remainders ___ ___
and profits and all the estate right, title and interest whatsoever of him the said David Kelly and Rosanna Kelly
wife of David Kelly at Law and in equity of into and out of the said lots of land and premises hereby bargained

This Indenture made this Fifteenth day of April in the year of
our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty six between DAVID KELLY and Rosanna his wife of Allegany County and State
of Maryland of the one part and MICHAEL CHRISS of Preston County, and State of Virginia of the other part witnesseth
that the said DAVID KELLY and ROSANNA his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars
to them in hand paid by the said MICHAEL CHRISS before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
they the said DAVID KELLY & ROSANNA his wife hereby acknowledge, have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed
and confirmed and by these presents to grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said MICHAEL CHRISS

courses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise

At the request of LEWIS PRITCHARD the following Deed was recorded
October 12th 1846.
This Indenture made the fifth day of October in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six between DAVID KELLY and ROSANNAH his wife of Allegany county in the
State of Maryland of the one part, and LEWIS PRITCHARD of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the
said DAVID KELLY and ROSANNAH his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and sixty two dollars
and fifty cents current money to them in hand paid by the said LEWIS PRTICHARD at and before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed
release and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sell alien enfeoffed release convey and confirm
unto the said LEWIS PRITCHARD his heirs and assigns all that part of a tract of land called Elder Spring lying
and being in Allegany County aforesaid which was conveyed to the said DAVID KELLY by WILLIAM W. HOYE by deed dated
on the nineteenth day of December in the year eighteen hundred and thirty one and recorded in Liber AB No. P folios
535, 536, and 537 one of the Land Records of the county aforesaid excepting nevertheless out of the quantity in
said Deed mentioned the quantity of one hundred acres which the said DAVID KELLY and ROSANNAH his wife conveyed
to a certain MICHAEL CHRISS by deed bearing date on the fifteenth day of April in the year eighteen hundred and
thirty six and recorded in Liber AB No. L folio 437 one of the Land Records of the county aforesaid as by reference
to the aforesaid records of the county aforesaid as by reference to the aforesaid records will more fully appear
It being the meaning of those presents and of the parties hereto that the said DAVID KELLY and ROSANNAH his wife
hereby sell and convey to the said LEWIS PRITCHARD the quantity of one hundred acres of land being all that part
of said tract called Elder Spring which was conveyed as aforesaid by the said WILLIAM W. HOYE to the said DAVID
KELLY (and reference is hereby made to the said deed and the Records thereof aforesaid for greater certainty) except
that part thereof which the said DAVID KELLY and ROSANNAH his wife conveyed as herein before mentioned to the aforesaid
named MICHAEL CHRISS by the deed aforesaid Together with all and singular the rights privilages hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the said part of said tract of
land called Elder Spring unto him the said LEWIS PRTICHARD his heirs and assigns together with all and singular
the rights priviledges hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all
the right title Estate and interest of them the said DAVID KELLY and ROSANNAH his wife in and to the same To the
only proper use and benefit of him the said LEWIS PRITCHARD his heirs and assigns forever And the said DAVID KELLY
and ROSANNAH his wife for them selves and their heirs do hereby covenant promise grant and agree to and with the

At the request of JOSEPH KELLY the following Deed recorded 17 day
of May 1797.
This Indenture made this Seventeenth Day of May in the year of
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven between CONRAD HITE of Allegany County and State of Maryland
of the one part and JOSEPH KELLY SENIOR of Bedford County Cumberland Valley Township and State of Pennsylvania
of the other part. Witnesseth that the said CONRAD HITE for and in consideration of the sum of ninety eight pounds
five shillings current money to him in hand paid by the said JOSEPH KELLY SR. the receipt whereof he the said CONRAD
HITE doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien
release and confirm unto him the said JOSEPH KELLY SR. his heirs and assigns forever the following lotts or partitions
of ground lying and being in BRODKAGS ADDITION to the Town of Cumberland, Allegany County consisting of and know
on the plat of said addition to Cumberland by Lots No. 5 & 6 each fronting Bedford Street fifty seven feet
nine and a half inches and running back from said street one hundred and sixty feet together with all and singular
the hereditaments and appurtenances whatever to the same belonging or in any manner appertaining and all the estate
right title interest claim and demand whatsoever of in and to the same of him the said CONRAD HITE and his heirs
to have and to held the aforesaid two lots or parcels of ground with the hereditaments and appurtenances to the
same belonging or in any way appertaining and all the estate rights title and claim of him the said CONRAD HITE
and his heirs unto him the said JOSEPH KELLY SR and his heirs yielding and paying unto the said Conrad Hite his
heirs and assigns the yearly ground rent of the Spanish milled dollars to be paid on the first day of January annually
and the said CONRAD HITE for himself and his heirs doth further covenant and agree to and with the said JOSEPH
KELLY SR. that the said CONRAD HITE the aforesaid two lotts and premises to him the said JOSEPH KELLY SR. his heirs

the intent of these presents to convey to the said JOHN D. KELLY the same property purchased by him as aforesaid

with the buildings and improvements thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining unto the said JOHN D. KELLY
his heirs and assigns forever And this Indenture aforegoing conveyances to him by the said CHRISTOPHER KELLY hath

JESSE SPRINGIN & CATHARINE his wife to HENRY KELLY
At the request of HENRY KELLY the following Deed was recorded October
13, 1847.
Know all men by these presents that we JESSE SPRINGIN and CATHARINE
SPRINGIN of the County of Preston in the State of Virginia of the one part and HENRY KELLY of the County of Allegany
in the State of Maryland of the other part. Witnesseth that the said JESSE SPRINGIN and CATHARINE for and in consideration
of Two hundred dollars to us in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof we do hereby acknowledge do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto HENRY KELLY aforesaid
his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate in the County of Allegany in the State of Maryland
bounded and described as follows beginning at a Spanish oak is the beginning corner of the Whippoorwill tract the
said spanish oak being on the supposed State line between the States of Maryland and Virginia thence North 64°
East 102 poles to a small chestnut thence S. 134 poles to a stone pile thence N 87 92 poles to a stone and __ thence
N 110 poles to the beginning containing seventy seven acres or thereabouts it being the west end of the aforementioned
Whipporwill tract together with all the privildges and appurtenances to the said land in anywise appertaining and
belonging To have and to hold the above granted premises to the said HENRY KELLY his heirs and assigns forever
and I the JESSE SPRINGIN for myself my heirs executors and Administrators do covenant with the said HENRY KELLY
his heirs and assigns that I & my said wife are lawfully seized of the before granted premises that they are
free from all incumbrances that I and my said wife have a good and perfect right to sell and convey the same to
the HENRY KELLY his heirs and assigns as aforesaid and that I will and my heirs executors and administrators shall
warrant and deferred the same to the said HENRY KELLY his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of
all persons.
In Testimony whereof I the said JESSE SPRINGIN and CATHARINE my
wife have hereunto set our hands and seals this the 8th day of May 1847.

the Peace in the county aforesaid in the State of Virginia do hereby certify that JESSE SPRINGIN a party to a certain
deed bearing date on the 8th day of May 1847 and hereunto annexed personally appeared before us in our county aforesaid
and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and desired us to certify the said acknowledgement to the Clerk
of the county court of Allegany county Maryland in order that the said deed may be recorded also at the same time
CATHARINE SPRINGIN the wife of JESSE SPRINGIN one of the parties of the aforesaid deed personally appeared before
us in our county and being examined by us privately and a part from her husband and having the deed fully explained
to her she the said CATHARINE SPRINGIN acknowledged the same to be her act and deed and declared that she had willingly
signed sealed and delivered the same and that she wished not to retract it - given under our hands and seals this
8th day of May 1847.

At the request of JOHN KELLY the following Deed was recorded October
13th 1847.
Know all men by these presents that we JESSE SPRINGIN and CATHARINE
SPRINGIN of Preston County if the State of Virginia in consideration of One hundred & fifty dollars to us in
hand paid by JESSE? JOHN KELLY of Allegany county in the State of Maryland the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge
do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said JOHN KELLY his heirs and assigns a certain tract
or parcel of land situate in the said county of Allegany bounded as follows viz beginning at 2 W oak with 2 notches
in each standing on the bank of Buffalo Run thence running N 87 W 111 ps to pointers and stone pile corner of H.
KELLY N 134 ps to a small chestnut corner of H. KELLY No 64 E 30 t a stone pile thence S 42 E 158 ps to a white
oak thence S 20 W 64 to the beginning containing one hundred acres more or less together with all the privildges
- and appurtenances to the said land in anywise appertaining and belonging To Have and to hold the above granted
premises to the said JOHN KELLY his heirs and assigns forever and if the said JESSE SPRINGIN for my self my heirs
executors and administrators do __ with the said JOHN KELLY his heirs and assigns that I and my wife are lawfully
seized in fee of the before granted premises and that they are free from all incumbances that I and my said wife
have a good perfect right to sell and convey the same to the said JOHN KELLY his heirs and assigns as aforesaid
and that I will and my heirs executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the same to the said JOHN KELLY

Between JOHN B. ARMSTEAD, BERKLEY WARD & JAMES W. KELLY
At the request of BERKLEY WARD this was recorded the 4th of October
1837
This Indenture made and entered into this 23d day of August 1836
between JOHN B. ARMSTEAD of the County of Fauquier and Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part BERKLEY WARD of
the second part and JAMES W. KELLY of the third part Witnesseth that whereas the said JOHN B. ARMSTEAD is Justly
indebted to the said JAMES W. KELLY in the sum of two hundred and eleven (dollars and) eighty two cents with interest
thereon from this day which debt with legal interest thereon securing the said JOHN B. ARMSTEAD as willing and
deserous to secure Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the premises and also for the
further consideration of one dollar to the said JOHN B. ARMSTEAD in hand paid by the said BERKELY WARD at and before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said JOHN B. ARMSTEAD
hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien release and confirm to
the said BARKELY WARD his heirs and assigns forever all his right title and interest in and to one thousand acres
of a tract of land lying and being in the County of Allegany in the state of Maryland called "Internal Improvement"
which tract of land was patented to the said JOHN B. ARMSTEAD and WALKER K. ARMSTEAD. The amount of the line Contained
in the Patent being four thousand eight hundred acres with all and Singular the appurtenances to the said one thousand
acres of land belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate right title and interest of the said JOHN
B. ARMSTEAD in and to the one thousand acres of land and premises To Have and to hold the said hereby granted or
intended to be granted tract or parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said BERKELY WARD his
heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said BERKELEY WARD his heirs and assigns
forever upon trust Nevertheless that the said BERKELEY WARD his heirs Estate and adms. Shall permit the said JOHN
B. ARMSTEAD to remain in quiet and peaceable possession of the said one thousand acres of land with its appurtenances
and take the profits thereof to his own use until default ___ made in the payment thereof to his own use the said
sum of two hundred and eleven dollars eighty two cents with interest thereon from the date of this Deed and thereupon
this fur4ther trust that the said BERKELEY WARD his Executors and administrators or assigns shall request sell
the said one thousand acres of land with the appurtenances to the hightest for ready money at Public auction after
having fixed the time and place of sale at his own discretion and given thirty days notice thereof in some newspaper
printed in the town of Warrenton and also notified the same by advertisement to be set up at the door of the Court
House of Fauquier County on some Court day previoius to the day of Sale and out of the money arrising from such
sale shall after satisfying the charges thereof and all other ___ attending the premises pay to the said JAMES
W. KELLY his executors admins and assigns the said sum of two hundred and eleven dollars eighty two Cents with
the interest thereon as aforesaid and the balance if any shall pay to the said JOHN B. ARMSTEAD his executors administrators
or assigns but of the whole of the said sum of money and interest shall be fully paid off and discharged to JAMES
W. KELLY his executors, Administrators or assigns on or before the first day of January next then this indenture
is to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto

At the request of JACOB MYERS the following deed was recorded February
25th 1848.
This Indenture made this sixth day of September in the year of
our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven between JOHN KELLY of Allegany County and State of Maryland
of the one part and JACOB MYERS of Preston County and State of Virginia of the other part witnesseth that for and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars current money by the said JACOB MYERS to the
said JNO KELLY in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which he doth
hereby acknowledge the said JNO KELLY and his wife CATHARINE hath bargained and sold aliened and enfeoffed and
by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said JACOB
MYERS his heirs and assigns all the ___ land to wit, part of a tract of land called "whipperwill" beginning
at a stone pile the second corner of the original survey with the first lien reversed south sixty ___ west thirty
perches to HENRY KELLY's corner with the same north seventy ___ perches to a small Locust bush thence north eighty
four and a half East ninety five and three perches to a maple and the over line with the same reversed north forty
two west one hundred to the beginning containing thirty two and one half acres situate and lying in Allegany County
aforesaid and contained ___ the above merts and bounds courses and distances together with all and singular the
buildings improvements ways and waters courses rights meanders priviledges advantages and appurtenances thereto
belonging or in any wife appurtaining and all the estate right title and interest trust property claim and demand
whatsoever at law and in equity of him the said JOHN KELLY of in and to the same. To have and to hold the said
herein described premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said JACOB MYERS his heirs and assigns

Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars current money of the State of Maryland.
By the said JACOB MYERS to the said JOHN KELLY in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents,
the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge, the said JOHN KELLY and his wife CATHARINE hath bargained and
sold, aliened and enfeoffed and by these presence doth give, grant, bargain and sell alien enfeoff, release, convey
and confirm unto the said JACOB MYERS his heirs and assigns all the following Tract of land to wit, part of a tract
of land called "Whipperwill Tract", Beginning to a stone pile running North Fifty seven perches to a
small Locust post eighty four and a half East ninety five and three fourth perches to a maple, South forty two
East fifty eight perches, to a white oak, South twentyo West sixty four perches to two white oaks with two notches,
North eighty seveno West one hundred and eleven perches to the Beginning Containing sixty seven and one half acres
of land, situate and lying in Allegany County aforesaid and contains within the above meets and bounds, courses
and distances together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways, water courses, rights members, privileges,
advantages and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and all the estate, right title and
interest, trust, property claim and demands whatsoever at law and in equity of him the said JOHN KELLY of in and

At the request of JOHN EIVIN this deed was recorded 21 Aug 1837.
This Indenture made the first day of Jul in the year of Our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven, between JOHN KELLY and CATHARINE his wife of Allegany County and State
of Maryland of the one part and JOHN EIVIN of the County and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that
the said JOHN KELLY and CATHARINE his wife in consideration of the sum of Twenty five Dollars to him in hand paid
by the said JOHN EIVIN before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they the said JOHN
KELLY and CATHARINE his wife doth hereby acknowledge and form every part and parcel thereof doth hereby acquit
exonerate and discharge the said JOHN EIVIN his heirs executors and administrators they the said JOHN KELLY and
CATHARINE his wife hath granted bargained, sold, aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant,
bargain, sell alien enfeoff and confirmed unto the said JOHN EIVIN his heirs and assigns a part of a tract of land
called "Elder Spring" Beginning at the end of second line of the original Tract and running thence North
seventy nine degrees, west thirty nine perches South sixty degrees West one Hundred and thirty eight perches South
eighty eight degrees East sixty nine perches to the end of ninety eight perches on the first line of the original
tract and with it north six degrees East forty eight perches north twenty degrees West eighty perches to the beginning
containing fifty Acres of Land together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, woods, way, waters,
water courses rights liberties, privileges appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging in the any wise appertaining
this the reversion interest and of remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right and whatsoever
of them the said JOHN KELLY and CATHARINE his wife both at law and in equity of into and out of the said tract
or parcel of land and premises hereby bargained and sold in ment mentioned or intended whereby it to be and every
part and parcel thereof, To Have and To Hold the said tract or parcel of land so as aforesaid described together
with the buildings and appurtenances and all and singular other the premise hereby bargained and sold or ment mentioned
or intended hereby so to be and every part and parcel thereof with them and every of their appurtenances unto the
said JOHN KELLY and CATHARINE his wife for theirselves their heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant
grant promise and agree to and with said JOHN EIVIN his heirs executors administrators or assigns that he the said
JOHN KELLY and CATHARINE his wife and their and assigns all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming or
to claim every wright title or interest in and to the same in every part thereof shall and will hereafter warrant
and forever defend by these presents.

case mind and provided And now at the same time also personally appears CATHARINE KELLY wife of said JOHN KELLY
before us two Justices of the peace and acknowledged the same Deed to be her act and Deed and the lands and premises
therein mentioned to be the right and estate of the within named JOHN EIVIN his heirs and assigns forever and the
said CATHARINE KELLY being by us privately examined apart form and out of hearing of her husband, whether she doth
make here acknowledgement of the same willing and freely and without being induced thereto by fear or threats of

JOHN J. TOMLINSON to WM. KELLY
At the request of WILLIAM KELLY this Deed was recorded Sept 22nd
1838.
This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of July in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight between J. J. TOMLINSON of the county of Marion and State
of Indiana of the one part and WILLIAM KELLY of the County of Union and State of Pennsylvania of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars
lawful money of the United States to him in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged by the said party of the first part, hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant
bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever all those tracts or parcels
of land lying and being in Allegany County and State of Maryland called and distinguished by lots number one thousand
three hundred and forty eight (1348) and three thousand one hundred and thirty two (3132) of the soldiers land
lying West of Ft. Cumberland in the County of Allegany and state of Maryland aforesaid containing each fifty acres
more or less. The same lands were deeded to JOHN J. TOMLINSON by JOHN J. TOMLINSON SR. Of Allegany County Maryland
and by the said JOHN J. TOMLINSON to SAMUEL HOGE and afterwards by the said SAMUEL HOYE to the said JOHN J. TOMLINSON.
To have and to hold the above described premises hereby sold and conveyed unto the said WILLIAM KELLY his heirs
and assigns forever together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
to his own proper use and behoof And the said JOHN J. TOMLINSON for his heirs executors and administrators the
aforesaid WM KELLY his heirs and administrators against the claim or claims of all and every person whatsoever
will warrant and forever defend. In Witness whereof the said JOHN J. TOMLINSON hath hereunto set his hand and affixed
his seal the day and year first above written.

Jonathan Arnold to John Kelley
At the request of JOHN KELLEY the following Deed was recorded January
6th 1853
This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of July in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two, between JONATHAN ARNOLD of Allegany County in the State of
Maryland of one part, and JOHN KELLEY of the said County and State of the other part. Witnesseth, that for and
in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars current money, by the siad JOHN KELLY to the said JONATHAN ARNOLD
in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge,
the said JONATHAN ARNOLD has bargained and sold, aliened and enfeoffed and by these presents does give, grant,
bargain and sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said JOHN KELLEY, his heirs and assigns,
all that tract or parcel of land called "Bear Camp" and part of "Union of Tracts" situate and
lying in Allegany County aforesaid and continued within the following meted and bounds, courses and distances,
to wit: Beginning at a stone number thirty seven, standing at the end of the thirty seventh line of a tract of
land called "Union of Tracts" ____ said line South sixty and a half degrees, East four feet to a stone
number one, north seventy eight degrees, west eight perches to a stone number two , North forty two degrees, ten
perchases and three fourths of a perch to a stone number three, North fifty five degrees, East five perches and
six links to a stone number four - south thirty one degrees, east four perches and three fourths of a perch to
a stone number five, south eight degrees, east three perches to the thirty eight to line of a tract of land called
"Union of Tracts", South three degrees, East four and three fourths of a perch South thirty degrees,
West two and one fourth perches, South sixty eight degrees, West three fourths of a perch, thereby a straight line
to the beginning, containing one acre, more or less: Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements,
rights, members, priviledges, advantages and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all
the estate, right title and interest, trust, property, claim and demand whatsoever at Law and in equity of him
the said JONATHAN ARNOLD of in and to the same. To Have and To Hold the same herein described premises, with the
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said JOHN KELLEY, his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use
of the said JOHN KELLEY, his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof the said JONATHAN ARNOLD set his had
and affixed his seal on the day and year above written.

The following deed was recorded on the eighteenth day of April
1809.
This Indenture made this 17th day of April one thousand eight hundred
and nine between JOSEPH KELLY of Bedford County, State of Pennsylvania of one part and GEORGE BLOCKER of Allegany
County, State of Maryland of the other part, Witnesseth that the said JOSEPH KELLY for and in consideration of
the sum of four pounds current money to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and the
said GEORGE BLOCKER thereof and therefrom doth fully acquit and discharge, hath given, granted, bargained, sold,
released, enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give, present, bargain, sell enfeoff, release,
convey and confirm unto him the said GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs and assigns forever undivided eighth of Lot No. Seven
in the town of Cumberland, Bedford Street lying and being in the County of Allegany State of Maryland To have and
to hold the aforesaid one eighth of part of Lot No. 7 with all its priviledges and appurtenances to him the said
GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs and assigns forever. And the said JOSEPH KELLY for himself his heirs, executors, administrators
and assigns doth further covenant and agree to and with the said GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs and assigns to warrant
and defend the aforesaid one undivided eighth part of said lot and premises with all its priviledges and appurtenances
to him the said GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs and assigns forever, against him the said JOSEPH KELLY his heirs, executors,
administrators or assigns or any other person or persons as shall or may hereafter claim the same and that he the
said JOSEPH KELLY and his heirs with at any time hereafter at the expense and __ the said GEORGE BLOCKER, if requested
execute any further deed or appurtenances __ __ conveyance and assigns the said land to the said GEORGE BLOCKER
__ __ to the intention of the present conveyance, In Witness the said JOSEPH KELLY has hereunto set his hand and
seal the day and year above written.

Be it remembered that on the day and year above written came the within written named JOS. KELLY before us the

writing to be his act and deed and the land and premises therein mentioned to be the right and estate of the within
named GEORGE BLOCKER his heirs and assigns forever according to the true intent and meaning of the within deed.
At the same time came ELEANOR KELLY wife of the above named JOS. KELLY and being secretly examined out of the hearing
of her husband acknowledged her right of dower to the within named GEORGE BLOCKER and that she did the same of
her own accord, without any threats from her said husband or fear of his displeasure of Lot number seven. Acknowledged.

JOSEPH KELLY & NELLY his wife to JONATHAN HENDRICKSON
At the request of JONATHAN HENDRICKSON the following Deed was recorded
on the 20th day of May 1819.
This Indenture made this seventeenth day of February in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen between JOSEPH KELLY of Bedford County and State of Pennsylvania
of the one part and JONATHAN HENDRICKSON of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the
said JOSEPH KELLY for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven Dollars current money of the United States to him
in hand paid by the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereon
the said JOSEPH KELLY doth hereby acknowledge and from every and any parcel there of doth hereby acquit exonerate
discharge the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON his heirs executors and administrators. He the said JOSEPH KELLY hath granted
bargained sold received enfeoffered and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell align enfeoff and
confirm unto the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON wherein and assign all that part of lots number five and number six
in the Brodhag Addition to the Town of Cumberland as claimed by him the said JOSEPH KELLY as one of the heirs of
his father JOSEPH KELLY deceased, Together with all and singular the buildings improvements woods ways water watercourses
rights liberties privileges assignments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging on in any ways appertaining
and the revisions and remainders rents issues profits thereof and all the estate right title and interest whatsoever
from the said JOSEPH KELLY at law and in equity of in to and for the said part of the said two lots and premises
hereby bargained and sold or meant mentioned or interest hereby so to be and every part and parcel thereof To have
and to hold the said part of the lots aforesaid described together with the buildings and appurtenances and all
and singular other the premises hereby bargained and sold or meant mentioned or intent as hereby so to be and every
part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON by his heirs
and assigns for ever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever and the said JOSEPH KELLY for himself
his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant grant promise and agree to and with the said JONATHAN
HENDRICKSON his heirs executors administrators assigns that the said JOSEPH KELLY and his heirs the party of the
lots aforesaid and premises hereby granted bargain and sold and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances
thereunto belonging to him the said JONATHAN HENDRICKSON his heirs and assigns against him the said JOSEPH KELLY
and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim any right title
or interest in and to the same or any part thereof under him or them shall and will warrant and for ever defend
by these presents. In witness whereof the said JOSEPH KELLY hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal
the day and year first above written.

Upon the request of WILLIAM KELLY the following Deed was recorded
September 7th 1846.
This Indenture made this third day of September in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six Between JOSIAH J. FENTON and MARY A. L. FENTON his wife of Allegany
County and State of Maryland of the one part and WILLIAM KELLY of County and State aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L. his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said WILLIAM KELLY at and before
the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof they the said JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L.
his wife doth hereby acknowledge, and from every part and parcel doth hereby acquit, Exonerate and discharge the
said WILLIAM KELLY his heirs assigns &c they the said JOSIAH J. & MARY A. L. his wife have granted, bargained,
sold & confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell, convey & confirm unto him the said
WILLIAM KELLY his heirs and assigns, all that piece or parcel of Land, which is contained in the following metes
and bounds courses and distances being part of lot number six (6) sold by THOMAS PERRY Esq Trustee of the Sale
of the Real Estate of RAPHAEL LOGSDON Dec'd - Beginning in the line of lot No. five (5) and running North with
said line ten feet (10 thence NW Thirty (30) feet, to a parallel line with said FENTON & QUIGGS front buildings,
thence South with a parallel line of said FENTON & QUIGGS fouses twenty (20) feet, to an Alley, thence East
or South East Forty Feet (40) thence to the beginning Eighteen feet (18) containing seven hundred and ninety feet
(790) more or less and the said JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L. his wife doth also give, grant, and convey unto
the said WILLIAM KELLY the privilege and right of passing with wagons, carts & carriages of all kinds and descriptions,
and the right to load & unload coal, wood & other articles for his use, through an alley between the dwellings
now occupied by said JOSIAH J. FENTON & wife & SOLOMON SPIERS & JAMES PIERCE. The said FENTON and his
heirs to have the right to erect gates across said Alley the said WM. KELLY to have the right to pass and repass
through said gates if any should be erected, closing and shutting the same the said KELLY is not to obstruct said
Alley to the disadvantage of said FENTON or his assigns, and the said JOSIAH J. & wife also conveys and grants
unto the said WILLIAM KELLY full and free egress and regress over the property & land lying in front of the
land hereby conveyed, & that the said land between the land conveyed, and the Rail Road of New York Coal &
Iron Co usually called Mt. Savages shall be at all times hereafter a Public way free and privileged to all persons,
companies or otherwise Together with all and singular the Buildings Improvements, ways, water courses, rights,
liberties, privileges, hereditments & appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
& the reversions & remainders, rents, issues & profits thereof, and all the Estate, right, title &
interest whatsoever of them the said JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L. FENTON his wife, both in law and in equity
of in and to the said parcel or lot of land and premises hereby granted bargained and sold, meant or intended so
to be, and every part and parcel thereof, to have and to hold the said parcel of land so as aforesaid described
called part of lot No Six (6) or by whatever name the same may be called, together with the buildings and appurtenances,
and all and singular other the premises hereby bargained and sold, meant or intended so to be and every part and
parcel thereof with their and any of their appurtenances unto the said WILLIAM KELLY his heirs and assigns forever.
And to and for no other intent or purpose whatsoever, and the said JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L. his wife for
themselves their heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the said
WILLIAM KELLY and his heirs the said lot or parcel of land, and premises hereby granted bargained and sold and
every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said WILLIAM KELLY his heirs
and assigns against them the said JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L. his wife and their heirs and against all and
every person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim any right, title or interest in and to the same or any
part thereof, shall and will hereafter warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said
JOSIAH J. FENTON & MARY A. L. FENTON his wife have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals
on the day and year above written.

out of the presence of hearing of her husband and being by us privately examined out of the presence and hearing
of her husband, whether she doth execute and acknowledge the same voluntarily and freely and without being induced
to do so by fear, or threats of or ill usage by her said husband or for fear of his displeasure, declares and acknowledges,
that she doth ___ and acknowledged that she doth execute and acknowledge the same voluntarily and freely and without
being induced to do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her said husband or by fear of his displeasure. We
further certify that the said parties so acknowledging is known to us to be the party grantors in the above instrument

aforesaid are personally known to us to be the persons who are named and described in and professing to be the
party grantors to the foregoing deed or instrument.
