We learn that during the gust on Thursday evening, the 12th inst., the barn of Mr.
John Adams, on the Frederick road, about four miles from the city, was struck by lighting and with its contents
consumed, consisting of the entire harvest of rye and wheat, and some hay – the loss computed at two thousand dollars.
