Genealogy Trails - Marriage Records - Middlesex County, Mass.

The lost leaves of Ralph Houghton's manuscript, and subsequent records for many years, must be supplied from the copies of the returns made to the Middlesex County court by him and his successors. These are found in the Records of Births, Deaths and Marriages, Liber 111, pags 115 and 196; and Liber IV, pages 39 to 42, 121, 195, 206, 212 to 214. The recorder, it is evident, did not always copy the orthography of Lancaster's scribe:
