Medfield Norfolk County, Massachusetts Newspaper Articles
April 30 1806 Page 5
A very alarming mortality prevails in Medfield among the children. It is said, that eleven have died within a few
weeks, the eldest about fifteen years. They are generally ill not more than twenty-four hours, and often from
a sound state of health in the morning, are a corpse before night. Many of the faculty, we understand, have been
consulted, but are perfectly baffled in searching for the cause. – Massachusetts pap.
