Mathews-Heving.

Miss Ruth Mathews and John Heving, both of this city, were united in marriage by Justice Carl Gray in his office in the city hall, Thursday afternoon.  Mr. Heving is well known here as a professional baseball player and according present. plans will be a member of the St. Louis Browns next year. For the present Mr. and Mrs. Heving will reside here.

Mathews-Whitcomb.

Miss Paula Mathews, daughter of Mrs. M. Putnam, 125 1/2 East Main street, was united in marriage to Roy Whitcomb at the home of his parents on the Raymond road, Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock, Rev. William G. Studwell, rector of St. Thomas’ Episcopal church, officiating. The bride was prettily frocked in brown taffeta with corsage of red roses. A wedding supper followed, the guests numbering twelve, while bouquets of vari-colored autumn blooms centered the table. The newlyweds will reside here, the groom being connected with the Grand Trunk as machinist.  Up to the time of their marriage the bride had been attending the Michigan Business & Normal college.
