OBITUARIES

SMITH, Emerson, aged 47 years, an old resident of Cheboygan, and for years head sawyer in the Duncal mills, was killed this morning at Onaway, at Chandler's camp, by a falling tree. He leaves a widow and four children. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Foresters. He was popular among mill men and was known as "M."

ERRATT, Fred, one of the most popular young men in this city, died suddenly yesterday. He wass a son of William Errat, ex-county treasurer and a well known republican politician.

CORROW, Mrs. -- Woman Killed at the Crossing Near Cheboygan --Another horrible accident occurred at Ballaut's crossing this morning, whereby Mrs. Corrow, who was coming to town with a dog team, driven by her young son, was struck by the morning train and horribly mangled, dying in a short time. The boy was badly hurt, but will probably recover. This is the same place where George Hughes was killed few months ago.
