ALVINA J. (LEVINE) JONES
, of Moline, Ill. and formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, Ill.. Alvina Jessie Levine was born on December 18, 1911, to Nelson and Ida (Perry) Levine in Sault Ste. Marie. She loved her family, and enjoyed sewing, gardening, anything outdoors, and her friends at In Touch. She is survived by her two daughters, Avis (Lee) Helsley of Lynnville, Ind., and Emma Hockenberry of Moline, Ill.; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister. Services will be held on Saturday, March 10,, at 10 a.m. at the Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, Ill. Visitation will be held Friday, March 9, from 4 until 7 p.m., with a Rosary at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
