Felch, Dickinson County: a station on the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad, in Felch Township, which had been named for Alpheus Felch, governor of Michigan in 1846; storekeeper Andrew Rian became its first postmaster on March 13, 1906 9 (GSM 1907; PO Archives)
