Kingsford

 

Kingsford, Dickinson County: the community was planned by the Ford Motor Company around its plant here and was named for Edward G. Kingsford, of Iron Mountai, a local Ford executive; incorporated as a village on Jan. 24, 1924, with J. Arthur Minnear as its first president; incorporated as a city in 1947 (Henry L. Wagner)
