Adilon Benoit of Flint Michigan served with the 23rd Michigan Infantry Company G – they left Saginaw on the 18th of September 1862 under the command of Colonel Chapin and proceeded to Kentucky with 983 personnel. This regiment participated in the Siege of Knoxville and the Atlanta Campaign. |
