Construction started on this building on March 3, 1899, with James Knox Taylor, Supervising Architect of the Treasury (1897-1912) in charge of this project.
The Menominee Post Office opened to the public in 1902.
The Menominee, MI Post Office was established on May 23, 1863 with Norman Soule as its first postmaster.
