, of Arlington Heights since 1972 Funeral Mass for Jean W. Winsauer (nee Johnson), 80, formerly of Mount Prospect, IL will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Holy Family Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness, IL. Born March 22, 1923, in Menominee, Mich., the daughter of Ernest and Winifred Johnson, she died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at the Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights, IL. Jean was raised in Norway, Mich. and Sheboygan, Wis. She graduated from North High School in 1940 and moved to Mount Prospect IL from Kenosha, Wis. in the early 1950s. She then moved to Arlington Heights, IL in 1972. In the 1950s, while living in Wisconsin, Jean was the president of the largest Junior Women's Club, in Kenosha. Then after moving from Kenosha to Mount Prospect, IL she help establish, and was a founding member of, St. Emily's Parish. Jean was active in the Northwest Cook Zonta Club.
On Jan. 8, 2002, she married her old high school friend, Donald Meves. Jean is survived by her children, Mary L. (Leo) Fassler, Michael L. Winmsauer, Sarah (Marty) Mages, John E. (Anne), Richard J. (Donna), Thomas B. (Kathy), Robert H., Margaret J. and Donald J. (Christine Mueller) Winsauer; sister, Margaret (Frank) Hannon and Ann (the late Robert) Kolscher and Karen deLeon and the late Robert M. (Jean Metze) Johnson; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were made by Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows, IL.
